“Another thanks to momo for letting me try a tea on my curiousity list :) I am typically not overly keen on flavoured greens, and while this certainly isn’t bad, it’s toeing the line of that...” Read full tasting note
“Lets try again (since my previous tea was a disaster). Thank you Dinosara for this swap :) The raw mixture is dark green in colour with a few yellow petals and large chunks of cranberry scattered...” Read full tasting note
“Hmmm so I’m first! I almost drank my entire bottle of this while I was out today, too hot outside…though some of it ended up in the bottom of my bag. I think I need a more trustworthy leakproof...” Read full tasting note

It was five years ago yesterday that I opened Zoomdweebie’s Tea Bar in Wichita. I had just finished my accounting degree at Wichita State University, and I was pretty sure Zoomdweebie’s was going to be the Starbucks of the tea world.
Well, it didn’t work out that way. After lots of trial and error and missteps and restarts, and after three and a half years (It could easily be argued that that was about two years too long), we closed the tea bar. Thankfully, in that time, we managed to gain a loyal and growing base of customers online for our hand-crafted teas, so while I closed the doors to the tea bar (and all of the extra overhead involved with that), I moved my blending and packing and shipping operation elsewhere. As of today, I can’t recall a week that has gone by in the last couple of years that we haven’t both gained at least a couple of new customers and served several of our loyal repeat-customers.
On this (close-enough-to-it) five year anniversary, I just wanted to say thank you to all of our past, present and future customers. It has been quite a wild ride, but I look forward to serving you for many years to come.
As for this week’s tea of the week, we have a delicious (I had some with dinner as an iced tea) blend of our sweet Chinese sencha, dried cranberries, marigold petals and natural grapefruit and cranberry flavors.
