1 Tasting Note View all

“Lovely! The lemon is in the forefront of this tea, but there is enough vanilla to the cup to soften the tart lemon to a more subdued bright citrus note that was flavorful without being too sour....” Read full tasting note

Description

This lovely little blend starts out with a blend of rich black teas (Assam, Yunnan & Vietnamese) which when combined with lemons, lavender & vanilla bean becomes a sweet-tart, creamy cuppa with hints of flower.

Countdown to Catching Up, Part 2 – Tea 9 (Counting Down from 10 to 1!)

I’ve been WAITING to try this tea. Sometimes, after blending a tea – I’m so excited to try it that the wait time (aka the curing time) seems excruciatingly long! However, the wait was well worth it – because this is so nice! The black tea base is nicely round: rich & invigorating yet still beautifully smooth. The lemon is bright & softened just so with the right amount of vanilla. Then there is the lavender. It’s like a perfect symphony of flavors playing upon my palate.

I don’t know what else to say about it except that if you like lemon & lavender together (& these two go together so well!), you really MUST TRY this blend. It’s vegan, organic, gluten-free, allergen-friendly & all natural too!

organic ingredients: black teas, lavender, lemons, vanilla beans, vanilla sugar & natural ingredients

to brew: shake the pouch well before measuring. Use 3g of tea to 12oz of nearly boiling water (205°F), steep for 3 ½ minutes & strain. Enjoy!

Serving suggestion: To be honest, as I write this, I’ve only tried this hot – because we’ve been experiencing a lot of COLD weather (it even snowed just a little last night) so I’ve been wanting hot tea & lots of it. But, during my final taste test, the tea had cooled significantly because I stepped away from my desk & when I came back, the tea had gone cold. I’m not mad at it though because this tea is quite nice when it’s cold too! Now, I can’t wait to try it cold brewed!
