From 52teas

This is a tea I’ve been DREAMING of all year & I’m finally able to see it through! It’s a wonderful dream – a wonderful tea that will be tasty all year long!

Countdown to Catching Up – Tea 4 (Counting Down from 10 to 1!)

This is a tea that I’ve been looking forward to blending all year. I came up with the idea AFTER the holiday season last year of combining bergamot, vanilla & cranberry & I’m so pleased with the result!

While I realize that the holidays have now passed, I did – in all fairness – blend it prior to the holidays. So, please, extend the “holiday season” just a bit for me – if only in your mind & heart (& taste buds!) to make room for this delightful variation of the classic Earl Grey tea.

Rich black teas blended with bergamot, vanilla beans, cranberries & marshmallow root. The sip starts out with that richness from the black tea, then I get hit with the vanilla & bergamot at nearly the same moment. The cranberry comes in at the finish & it lingers in the aftertaste with a tart berry note that is undeniably cranberry. It’s not only a tasty & satisfying cuppa, it’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free & allergen friendly!

organic ingredients: black teas, cold-pressed bergamot oil, cranberries, vanilla beans, marshmallow root & natural flavors

to brew: shake the pouch to ensure that all the ingredients are well-incorporated. Vanilla beans are tiny & you want to ensure that some of that goodness is in your measurement! Use 3g of tea to 12oz of nearly boiling water (205°F) & steep for 3 minutes. Strain & allow to cool for at least 10 minutes. Enjoy!

serving suggestion: This tea is delicious hot, but I suspect it would also make a wonderful cold-brew. I haven’t tried brewing it this way myself, at least, not yet – because I’ve been so enjoying it as a hot beverage & ‘tis the season for a cozy hot drink! It tastes great with no additions, but I find that a teensy bit of raw sugar (a little less than ½ a teaspoon) will bring out the sweetness of the vanilla which is quite nice with the bright citrus notes of the bergamot & the tartness of the cranberry.
