A caffeine-free blend of herbs, fruit & spices – this blend was originally crafted to be a medicinal tea to help with acid reflux. However, it’s so delicious that you’ll enjoy it even if you don’t suffer from acid reflux. It’s just a really tasty & calming blend! A win-win kind of tea!
Tea of the Week for June 10, 2024!
My MIL requested that I craft a tea that would help her with acid reflux. This is that tea.
It starts with oxidized (red) rooibos & chamomile – both of these herbals create a soothing base for this blend. Then I added ginger & cardamom (both are beneficial to the digestive process) & apples (helps with acid reflux – plus goes well with all the other ingredients!)
But this tisane isn’t just a medicinal herbal tea – it’s quite flavorful & enjoyable to sip – even if you don’t have issues with acid reflux. It’s quite tasty, in addition to being organic, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-free, caffeine-free & all natural!
organic ingredients: rooibos, chamomile, apples, ginger, cardamom & natural flavors
to brew: shake pouch well – this tea has quite a few ingredients & it’s important that they’re well incorporated before you start measuring. Use 3 ½ grams of tea to 12oz of very hot water (190°F) & steep for 10 minutes. Strain & alow to cool for at least 5 minutes. Strain & enjoy!
serving suggestion: I enjoy this served hot – it’s quite a soothing, relaxing cuppa. Very nice with a drizzle of honey. The sweetener helps bring more definition to the spices of the cup, but don’t go overboard on the sweetener as it has a gentle sweetness on its own. I’ve not tried this one iced yet – but I suspect it’s quite tasty as an iced tea too.
