561 Tasting Notes
Wow. Picked up this tea at the Bulk Barn (not sure what the company name is for the tea)-but it was pretty and smelled heavenly so I needed to try it. This tea lives up to the name. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with the chocolate chips in this tea but how can you go wrong with chocolate chips right? Will have to go grab some more. It’s a cheap tea too. I got enough for 2 cups worth and it was only .55cents!
Oh, this tea tastes heavenly! Cloves blend nicely with the green tea, fruit and chocolate. Wow, I am impressed and will definitely have to buy some more!
*Update: Tried it as a latte and it is AMAZING!! I drank it faster than I could make it. That’s how good it was.
I had originally tried to make a latte with this one but it did not turn out well (the milk curdled). It was the first time that happened to me so it was quite the experience and quite funny after I got over the fact that I wasted $4 of tea. So I had to go out to get some more to try plain. What a tease-does NOT taste like caramel shortbread and the cherries should have been left out in my opinion then it might have had a chance. Not a good cup of tea.
OMG! This tea smells and tastes exactly like nibs. That’s so cool and kind of strange tasting it in liquid form. Not sure if I will buy more but I can see myself finishing this cup.
*Made a tea pop with this one using gingerale. I brewed a concentrate of this tea (2 PS in 1/4 cup boiling water for 5 minutes). Then poured in a tumbler with a few ice cubes in it. Then poured a can of gingerale on top. Best tea pop EVER!
I can definitely taste the orange in this tea and it blends quite nicely with the other ingredients as well-wouldn’t say it tastes like a scone though. Kinda leaves an unfavorable aftertaste in my mouth between sips and for this reason, I would not recommend this tea.
*Update: I tried it as an iced latte and it is a bit better but there is still that weird aftertaste going on. I can finish my drink, but am glad I no longer have any of this tea left in my stash.
