561 Tasting Notes
Decided to try a new tea before watching another episode of Mr Mercedes on the start of my long weekend off. Nothing better than a night in with the dogs, a good show on TV (or book), a warm house, a comfy blanket and a cuppa good tea. This one doesn’t disappoint as it is a pretty tasty tea. I am detecting hints of strawberry and rose with a subtle green tea base. I find this tea very soothing.
Wow. Just wow. This tea is amazing iced! I just had to get some more after trying the in-store sample. It is so incredibly sweet and my tea guide said that there isn’t any sugar added to it. What sorcery is this? It tastes like mangoes with hint of ginger. I find it weird that it says it is a herbal though but that there is matcha green tea in it.
I tried a sample of it in hot form at the store. I liked the sample, so decided to get some more to experiment with. I tried it as a hot latte and while it was drinkable, it just wasn’t my favorite. But then I tried it iced and it sure made my taste buds make a happy dance. It was like drinking vanilla ice cream. A perfect dessert tea. The only problem is that I had to push the liquid out of the strainer part of my perfect steeper. It kept on getting plugged up from the matcha powder I guess.
The dry leaf remind me of a childhood cookie I used to have-lemon cream cookies. I taste apple and lemon mostly. I was kinda hoping they would taste like those lemon cream cookies as well but they don’t. It is drinkable, but not one I would reach out for again. Luckily, this was a sample pack and I used it all up for this cup.
