576 Tasting Notes
If you know of me on Steepster, you know this is my go-to cuppa. Just got a fresh batch in so I’m lovin’ it even more. And I really need it today too…else I will pull out my hair Patty Williams-style (that’s a Young and Restless reference, for anyone who doesn’t know…)
Please see other notes. This is one of my faves and one I have not yet been able to replicate!
I gotta cut back on caffeine later in the day – doctor’s orders! So I grabbed a couple of these from my mom. This is a decent find – for a bagged variety. I taste a spicy vanilla flavor. It’s smooth and bold, but not as peppy – which is good. I wouldn’t recommend first thing in the AM when you need your heart pumping but as a mid-afternoon wind-down, opt for this one.
I really enjoy this one hot – although it’s great iced and blended with Strawberry Lemonade too. I’m a huge fan of blueberries and this tastes like fresh blueberries – not freeze-dried, petrified or HIBISCUS-ladden berries.
It’s also pretty sweet – and no, folks, I did not put in any sweetener like usual. (GASP) Perhaps the plump berries help with that.
This reminds me of summer and lazy days. Perfect for today’s crappy weather day (it’s rainy and gross).
Again, this one has me stumped. The liquor is a gorgeous deep pink color, which to me screams, “HIBISCUS! I AM HIBISCUS!” It’s slightly tart – as though a fresh raspberry is – not in the least hibiscus-y, even after a steeping of over five minutes. I really enjoy this cuppa. I needed something mellow, but this is going to put me to sleep and I won’t make it to 5:30. I’ll need something to pep me up next!
One of my own blends so no rating
I love this minty, spicy cup. The candy cane black tea with spearmint are the perfect pairing with cinnamon. If you love spices, this is your cuppa. :) If you don’t, well, avoid.
I love how minty and spicy this aroma is as well. Thanks for the perfect blending, Adagio! :)
This is one of those teas that makes it hard for me to frown in Teavana’s general direction. I really enjoy the medley of peach and papaya, with the underlying vegetable green flavor. I enjoy this hot or iced…or lukewarm as I am enjoying it now (had a meeting and walked away without realizing I was leaving this behind). I have yet to taste a tea as tropical and flavorful as this – but I’m always open to suggestions!
I received this as part of a Christmas present to myself (I deserve it, right?!), in a cute stocking with other selections from Rachel’s Adagio blends.
Immediately opening the sample bag I am transported to San Diego, my early childhood years, making cinnamon and candy cane treats for the tree – and for our bellies. :)
This reminds me of HOME – which is so comforting and wonderful. Another sip and I’m transported to Brockport, NY, home of my beloved grandparents, another spot for holiday happiness.
The vanilla flavor is on the edge of the cinnamon and candy cane flavors – which is perfect. It’s subtle and sweet, rounding out the edges of typical holiday spices.
This is a true gem. I will be ordering more – around the holidays or in the midst of summer when I crave holiday memories.
Yums yums! :)
This is terrific in the afternoon, to wind down from a stressful morning, or ease into a calming evening. It’s slightly sweet – a hint, as a result of the licorice. If you don’t like licorice, avoid. I love it, so I enjoy. :)
