576 Tasting Notes
This is a hearty, strong, bold tea blend – a great AM wakeup cup. I have a hard time judging black teas because they often taste similar to me – plain, or unflavored. So this is good, definitely better than your average run-of-the-mill grocery version, and does its job of waking me up – but other than that, it’s typical. Good, but not something I’d regularly stock as “stellar” from David’s Tea.
Preparation
No rating as this is my own. I blended this up with more green rooibos and less jasmine pearls, and I think I like this version better. Let me know if you want a sample! :)
Can you please resend me your addy? I lost it in my move. :( I’ll get a sample out to you asap – and do you want to try anything else? Any other Adagio blends? I don’t have any more Toasted Marshmallow but basically everything else is in stock.
Hmm, I have never had green rooibos but don’t care for red. I love jasmine, though. If you have enough, I would like to try it! Let me know what I can send to you!
I’ve always wanted to try it. =) I can send you some of my wild grown mint. It grows wild all over the place where I work and it has these amazing eucalyptus and sage flavors. After some research I found out it was used as a tea substitute since colonial times! No wonder!
Please send me your addresses at [email protected] and I’ll send you some samples asap. :) Thanks!
I upped my rating on this one, after trying the bagged variety and letting it steep for the length of the cup. (I also sampled this after the H bomb of David’s Tea’s Paradise Found, and nothing could be that tart!) This is decent, a nice everyday tea. It’s nothing special, nothing unique, but it has a smooth citrus-y flavor and is pleasant enough. It just doesn’t WOW me.
Not a big hibiscus fan and this is heavy on the H. I cut the tart zing with sugar and that helped some. I love the way this smells, both dry and brewed – like a tropical paradise. It’s a decent tea, not my fave from David’s Tea, but not the worst thing I’ve ever consumed.
Holy heck – this is one of the best darn teas I’ve ever had! It tastes like pina coladas, like a tropical vacay, like Californian summers… Great hot and FABULOUS iced! Another new cupboard essential. I drink this down in three gulps, reinfused and (im)patiently waited for it to cool to try it “iced.” SO yummy!
I’m a nut for anything strawberry, so of course I’d opt for a strawberry tea. The “shortcake” part of this tea is just a bonus. This does taste like strawberry cake, and I love that the strawberry flavor tastes more real than artificial. (Not that I’m anti-artificial strawberry or anything.) I steeped for five minutes and was able to reinfuse – always a bonus. This is a new cupboard staple! Oh, and it’s already sweet enough on its own, no additional sugar or sweetener required – always a good sign.
Preparation
Holy cow – if this is supposed to make you healthy, I should be healthier in no time! I love this licorice, ginger and herbal blissful tea! It’s very flavorful and spicy, which I love. I saw the other note after I had already brewed it for five minutes and I enjoyed the spicy cuppa, although I know not everyone is a licorice fan. The spices overpower the orange peel and citrus side, which I don’t mind, but if you’re looking for an orange-and-spice cuppa, this isn’t it. This is a great late-afternoon and evening tea, as it relaxes your mind. I purchased this as part of my inaugural Davids Tea order and I’m hooked – on the blend and David’s Tea. :)
Preparation
No rating as this is my own. I really enjoyed this medley of smoky gunpowder green and sunny green rooibos. It reminded me of a Sunny’s Surplus store (I love that surplus smell), and spending hours reading about WWII and the Civil War when I was younger. OK, I still do that. And I play lots of war video games. And, I support our troops! “Land of the free, because of the brave.”
No rating as this is one of mine. I needed a little caffeine and sweet treat fix, and this fit the bill. My only complaint is I can only have a limited amount of caffeine a day! How to cope?!
Wow, you chose a FANTASTIC photo and name for your custom tea blend! If it tastes half as good as it looks, I’m sure it’s a real winner!
