I made Swampwater iced cubes…and added them to a glass of plain water, one of Swampwater, and one of my lemonwater (a packet of True Lemon and Splenda) and the results were phenomenal! Each tasted good, although the Double Swampwater blend was best. I ate some of the iced cubes by themselves too. So good – I highly recommend!

I need to get some of the Cute ice cube trays for Tea ice treats hehehe We should try making Teapops Like take the trays you can make Popsicle with and make it with tea lol OK its going into winter and we are talking about ice!

Daisy Chubb

I’ll be making tea popsicles for my blog soon, wish I had some swampwater left! :(

This one is really fun. It’s spicy and sweet, and not too much of either. Using green tea as the base helps with the flavor profile – I can taste both distinctly. I’m using this as my wake-up cuppa. I barely slept last night thanks to migraines (one went away and then another took its place), so I need all the pick-me-up I can get today!

Azzrian

Heres hoping the migraines go AWAY!

Thank you! :)

Made this the “real” way to make iced tea (with ice instead of cold brew). I made this before Swampwater and I gotta say, when comparing it with that one, I had to drop the rating a bit. It seemed too tart for me; I ended up adding some Splenda, which I hate to do, but it was either sacrifice my tea principles or dump it…and I couldn’t bear to dump the little pistol-shaped ice cubes. Turns out the only tea I can drink multiple cups of from Teavana and not lose total respect for the company is the chai blend.

Tried this iced yesterday; the “real” way to make iced tea, no cold brewing. ;) I ended up drinking about a gallon of it! I really do love this tea, from flavor to liquor. Best of all, you don’t need to add sweetener, which I had to do when I brewed up the Strawberry Lemonade/Blueberry Bliss combo earlier yesterday.

Currently I am making Swampwater iced cubes – they are freezing in my fridge while I’m at work. My plan is to make a super concentrated cuppa Swampwater. Will report in tomorrow… :)

Daisy Chubb

Can’t wait to hear how they turn out! I’ve wanted to try tea ice cubes for a long time, I’m excited for tomorrow :D

No rating as this is one of my own custom blends from Adagio. I really do love how you can taste each flavor in each sip: cherry, chocolate and cream. Yums. Much needed today!

I got this tea after a fellow customer at Voila told me how awesome it was. “You just want to rub it all over your body,” she said. At first I thought, OK, weirdo, but then I brewed it up myself and I see what she means!

This is in-your-face mango and citrus bliss. I ate some of the mango pieces before brewing – OK, now I’m the weirdo. Dry, this tea smells like sunshine. Steeped, this will knock your freakin’ socks off.

I would rub this over my body, take a bath in it, name my first born after it. It is so yummy – citrusy, mango-y, smooth, sweet and utterly satisfying. If you want a mango tea, you really don’t – you want this tisane. If you want an afternoon tea, you really want this. Trust me, it’s phenomenal. Delish. Worth going to work to enjoy (I left my tin there). So, so, so yummy!

I finished the cuppa before I finished this posting. Seriously.

mango… ugh looks like their internet site is down for maintenance. I would order this in a heartbeat to try. I am the queen of mangos.

KeenTeaThyme

If you want a sample, PM me. I can send you some. I plan going back there for more very soon so I don’t mind sharing! :)

Kittenna

Mango N Friends is one of those teas that multiple vendors seem to carry, so I’d suggest just looking up the name on here. I think Azzrian sent me some from… the English Tea store? I’m positive it’s the same tea…

Bonnie

Sooo funny!

As a paranormal investigator and a fan of the paranormal, of course I had to get this one!

Love the blend of vanilla and mint – one of my favorite combos. This is light and airy (ghost-like, if you will), but still very flavorful and tasty. The vanilla has a very marshmallow quality to it versus a vanilla bean flavor, which works well with all the other flavors you’ve got going on in this tea. I taste peppermint and spearmint, but I did just have a peppermint cuppa so perhaps I’m in that mindset… none of the flavors are overpowering, which is perfect with the veggie green tea flavor.

I’d love for this to be a permanent 52Teas flavor…or at least in the Christmas collection (hint hint, Frank). This is right up there with Pancake Breakfast. Love it! :)

oh man this is the first 52teas blend I really want to try. I love the photo, name, and ingredients!

and wait, you’re a paranormal investigator?

Azzrian

I really wish I had got some of this!
You and I seem to be in similar fields!

KeenTeaThyme

I can send you guys samples – just PM me and I’ll get them out to you asap. :) And yes, I am a paranormal investigator – on the side. It’s not my full-time job. And it’s not something I usually talk about. But it’s that time of year!
@Azzrian – I’m intrigued. Perhaps we are kindred spirits! (Sorry, bad pun, it’s late in the day and I’ve gone about two hours without tea)

Got this with my Graveyard Mist purchase because you can’t buy just one of Frank’s gems! :) This is a really unique flavor. I taste the lemon and the marshmallow, but it’s not an artificial of either, which is nice. I wonder how this is iced?

The kitten on the package is adorable too. Makes me miss my kitty-cat, Reesi. We put her to sleep in 2006 after 15 years of awesomeness. Seriously, she was the best cat ever. She’s spoiled us for other cats! Anyhoo, she would probably enjoy this…or at least enjoy a snack while I enjoyed this cuppa. :)

It’s always nice to be the first to review a tea, so you’re not swayed by any descriptions from previous sippers. :) Still I’m surprised that I’m the first to log this one!

Mint is typically an afternoon enjoyment, because I blend it with my herbals. But with the Assam black tea I gave this a try. Went terrific with a bagel!

I only taste peppermint and a black tea base. There are supposedly other flavors, according to the ingredients, but it’s a bagged tea so I don’t think it’s high quality enough to allow all the flavors to mingle and dance. No worries, though, as a peppermint black tea this is terrific.

This tea is such an autumn gem! I love the medley of chocolate-y goodness and spice, with a hint of carrot. I can kind of taste the icing a bit more this time. The only drawback? Now I want some cake.

CupofTree

let them eat cake :P

Bio

Hello fellow tea fans!
I’ve been a tea enthusiast for years but just recently started brewing my own. I’ve created some blends, and enjoy researching about new teas. I combined my love of tea and writing to create a tea-devoted blog, Keen Tea Thyme. I have been writing for most of my life and am a former journalist with a degree in Communications and Social Psychology, and a minor in Writing. Journalism is in my blood, so that means I’m inquisitive by nature, will double-check sources and/or get a second opinion as needed, but also fair and balanced in my reviews. If my reviews seem more positive, energetic and have high ratings, it’s because I love tea. :)

If you are a tea company, I’d love to review some your tea! Free samples are always welcome so I can fully enjoy the freshest selections. I’m also open to tea swaps as I always have too many teas on hand to drink & would love to share with other tea enthusiasts! :)

My Simple Rating Scale (as of Feb. 2011)
>50: I’m NOT a fan. I could barely finish the cup, if I even did. I wouldn’t even recommend this to my worst enemy. Not worth my time nor yours.

51-65: Good aroma, good flavor. Just nothing pops to give the tea that special kick. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

66-79: Yes, finally, tea – unique flavor profiles, great aroma & flavor. Recommended to try; our tasting palates differ.

80-99: These are cupboard essentials – delicious, aromatic and perfect everyday teas. Re-steepable (beyond at least one steeping). Highly recommended, fun for all ages.

100: These are my favorites, the ones I would take with me if stranded on a desert island. Beyond Highly Recommended.
