New Tasting Notes

Glass infuser in mug, boiling water, 6 min. More bitter and astringent than I like, but this could be due to too long a steep or too much tea, so will try again. I drink earl greys more for the scent, anyway, but it needs to make a good drink, as well.

Not that bad for green tea in a bag. The added herbs are nice.

Georgie is very mild, almost thin. If you are looking for a brisk, robust tea, then please look elsewhere. It was pleasant with some malty flavors.

Slightly smoky, but much less than other Yunnan teas I have tried.

It tastes a bit better with a shorter steeping time. I still don’t recommend it unless you’re in a pinch, though. Ditto for just about all traditional bag teas. :P

Simply the best next to sun and surf!

I had always shied away from lapsang before, but really enjoyed a Smoky Russian Caravan I had bought over the web. I happened to be in Waitrose and spotted this. Large leaf tea, cheap (£1.20/packet), why not give it a try? I’m really impressed. It does smell (and taste) of bonfires, but there’s a sweetness there too. Lovely, and it makes me want to try a more expensive one at some point to see if I can taste the difference!

Not as good as a real British or Irish tea (like Barry’s), but pretty close.

I was looking for something refreshing with a nice smell and GREEN…decided to do this one again! LOVE IT!

I really like the blend of spices in this tea, but there is so little actual tea in the bag, it almost seems like an herbal tea.

Oh, how I love this British tea. So dark and smooth and omg, perfect for waking up.

I always forget how much the rolled tea leaves expand during steeping. I tend to add too many to my cup. (Photo)

I love this tea so much, but I’m almost out and their coconut tea now has pineapple in it. I might get it blended with their mandarin green for a chocolate-orange taste.

Definitely better than having to drink Red Rose, but still not great. At least it’s organic.

Something great about peppermint for getting the brain back in gear. And I need it too… long day.

Soothing nerves and getting my B vitamins before my interview today.

Had this at Starbucks on Tuesday, made with soy milk. It smelled heavenly and tasted delicious. It was warm and comfy and made me hug the cup to me as I drank it.

I got this iced at Coffee Bean. It was pretty good, but I did not see anything too special about it.
