New Tasting Notes

Not a very sophisticated way of imbibing an oolong tea, and I’m surprised by how it still tastes and smells distinctly like an oolong. The fruit flavors make for a scrumptious combination. Being neither a purist nor, i hope, too much of a tea snob, I can fully enjoy this tea. However, my attempt to re-brew a bag was a disappointment.

Brew for about two minutes. Allow water in kettle to cool a bit first as to not burn the tea.

Yup! You can taste both Green and White Tea in this. Good Mix of both worlds. I like it!

A very relaxing fragrance and taste. This will be one of my special occasion teas.

Before steeping smells like Spearmint Gum. During Steeping a lighter minty scent. Nice Minty taste but not as strong as some (ie Rishi which I love, too!)

Not that into flavoured teas, but I got this as a freebie with an order I placed (it’s the only one I’ve got left!). It actually went down quite well. Something about a warm spring afternoon, maybe. The strawberry smell is quite strong, but there’s a peppery bite at the back of the mouth (and in your nose). Quite compelling.

Had one last cup at Amai Tea and Bake House’s last day in New York. Will miss this tea spot dearly.

Prior to steeping…you can smell the Ginger. While Steeping moreso the Lemon Grass. The coloring is a cloudy green tea type of look. The taste I really can’t describe….not sure if I like it or not…it’s not terrible but I don’t think I would buy it again…

165F for 90 seconds. Nice sweet, vegetal flavor. A little astringent… keeping me awake through studying for a test this morning.

I’ve had this for a little while now and it’s been pretty good. Mainly, I bought it because the packaging was cool. I wonder if its getting stale.
Does that happen even if i keep it in the tin that it came in?

I’m still somewhat shocked that I like this one like I do…but I do…it’s good to pair with nearly anything, too!

Steeped more and for longer. It certainly was darker in color by doing this. Not too much of a scent change, however. The taste is wonderful and a blossom-y/hint of Tangerine mix. I like it!

Light and sweet. Just a bit of caffeine (less than 15mg per cup) for my Monday morning.

This is an interesting twist on Earl Grey. You can taste the Earl Grey but there sure is something else going on! Not for true Earl Grey’ers but if you are open minded and willing to try something new – give this one a whirl! Not much for scent but it sure has flavor…and the coloring is awesome!
