New Tasting Notes

I was surprised by how potent the mint was in this tea. Still made for a great cuppa though.

When smelling the leaves or the steeped tea, you’re not left in the slightest bit of doubt as to what marzipan is made of. When they say it’s a sweet tea, they’re not kidding! Show me a person who takes this tea with sweetener and I’ll show you a person with a sugar problem. It’s not unbearably sweet though, and the actual flavour is more black tea with a streak of almond than it’s the unbearable sweetness that you get from the scent. It’s actually much better than expected, but unlikely to be a tea I’ll be drinking large amounts of. One small pot now and then should suffice.

Had it this past Sunday at a lovely coffeehouse — my new-found oasis in this busy city… ;)

A mixture of syrup, red tea and tapioca pearls, this drink is my best companion when I’m out in the sun.

I’m really liking this in the morning, to start of the day with.

Prepped gong fu style for some friends. It was 94 today, but they stilled enjoyed it.

Much better than Twinings English Breakfast.

Austere, floral, quite tasty.

I love the smell of this tea. It’s like opening a can of coconut milk. It’s got lots of ingredients, but I mostly taste the coconut and cardamom. Very good with soy milk and sweetener. It’s decaf, so I don’t have to worry about drinking it late at night.

Soothing, calming, relaxing.

Despite the package copy, there’s nothing subtle about this tea. Not that it isn’t delicious, but it’s not easy to drink more than a cup at a time.

This does in fact make delightful iced tea; so much so that I doubt I will ever drink it hot again, because that would be wasting it. :)

This tastes like 0% ginger and 100% jasmine, to me. Not the perfect surprise when you want that prickly taste. But oh well, my throat hurts and I have honey.

This is a very decent english breakfast! Full and smooth, and perfect to get me going before work.

I love it with milk and splenda.

A rather uninspiring cup of tea. Pleasant enough, but not great.

This tea has a very interesting flavor, hard to describe. I’m not sure yet whether I like it or not.
