Total comfort – vanilla soymilk and sweetener. I don’t drink this often, but when I do I love it.

Single cup, 1 Truvia

This is a tea that I have stashed away and don’t drink often. I only drink it when I am looking for a change or really want something different. The smell isn’t pleasant to the nose at all…pure bark and dirt smell. The coloring is light brown. It has a very earthy taste to it, indeed, maybe even a little smokey. I’m neutral on this one. I’m careful not to over steep, however, then it would be pretty nasty.

Quite milky, half a sugar. Nice & light, quite weakly brewed.

Milk, no sugar. Nice woody flavour. Mmmmmm.

Not as strong as I thought it would be but still good…not that I thought it would be way over the top or would win in a strong man competition but I guess I was ‘ASSuME-ing" it would be moreso. But…I still like it. It’s super dark in color and not very intense when it comes to smell.

Like this tea best with a quick three-minute steep, in a glass mug.

Was so busy doing work it had cooled a little too much by the time I got round to drinking it.

As a die-hard, longtime coffee drinker who is just now beginning to explore the world of teas, I really enjoy having the Lapsang Souchong as my first cup of the day. Its smokiness and dark richness make it a fine coffee substitute.
