New Tasting Notes

I’ve enjoyed drinking Tiger Hill Nilgiri for the past few days now.

My go-to tea while I’m at work! Iced in the summer, or nice and warm when I’m needing that calm cozy feeling. The lemon and spearmint perk my cup up nicely without being obnoxious- a welcome change from downing cheap coffee all morning. (Can I say that on a tea site?)

Awww…this is the last of my Rishi! Bummer…I will have to enjoy it while I can…I LOVE THIS STUFF! (But you REALLY have to like Peppermint! Which I do!)

Drank it black with some organic honey. Bouquet is quite heady.

This is surprisingly smoky to me, with a strong waft of tar and pitch on the back end of the tea. I almost want to say this was stored in a old Lapsang container, it has that same dry quality. However, I would be surprised if Tao did that. Otherwise, it does have some vegetal spinach-like character and heavy charcoal. Maybe not my favorite.

Very exotic, rich flavor. Delicious green tea, really beneficial to your health, as any green tea can be.

This is the tea I grew up on; my mom would make a big pot after she got home from work, and we’d all have a cup. While I drink most coffees and teas without anything added, I take my Barry’s with milk and sugar like it was served to me then.

Really crisp and refreshing on a warm day. Delicious alternative to water.

Sugar, Soy Milk. My daily morning ritual when I’m half awake.

Brewed by the pot, strong, sweetened with honey, milk to blend flavors and poured over ice to keep me cool.

One of the few so-called premium teas I can find here in Colorado Springs (at whole foods). Wonderfully nutty flavored, with no bitterness. One of my favorite all day teas.

Despite the fact that it’s an “own brand” tea, from the UK supermarket Sainsbury’s, this is my favourite Earl Grey tea. An excellent everyday tea.
