New Tasting Notes

This tea is PREFECT for the first few days of spring. A delicious accompaniment for sitting out on your balcony rekindling your love for the outdoors =)

This is my 2nd try of this and still enjoy it. I am beginning to think that I like this one over the Vanilla Oolong, which is a tad surprising to me. Either way…good stuff!

This tea is fantastic. The first steeping runs a little harsh and minerally, but then it opens up into a fresh flower blossom, warm dew, pale stonefruit, and juicy cup.

Sencha Yuzu. Very pretty color.

I steeped a little less than it called for and for less time but not by much. By doing this it’s more of an earthy taste and not so much vanilla. Next time I will steep longer for more flavor. It’s not bad, but I think I would like it better stronger.

Just a warm up…

Strong floral flavor. Sweet, not bitter (no matter how strong you brew it). More of an afternoon tea than a morning tea, though.

Another pot of this. I’m getting seriously addicted to this one!

Chai and bagels, the breakfast of champions!

Very smooth, not a lot of kick. Delicious.

This isn’t usually a tea I drink in the morning, but it seemed just the right thing today. Excellent as always.

For the hell of it I tried a 2nd steep on this one. Prior to steeping the 2nd time you can smell a little strawberry…afterwards…nuttin’. The black tea is still very strong but the flavoring not so much. Still have to give it a thumbs up tho…

I tried one of these at work a while ago and really liked it. Bought myself a box last night, though, and the first cup was really overpowering. I left it for 3-4 minutes as directed, so might try a shorter brew next time

In a fit of experimental inspiration I took a pot of generic Gunpowder and added a smidge of peppermint to it. The result is… interesting. Minty. It’s sufficiently drinkable that I’m not going to pour it out, but I wouldn’t really recommend the combination. Not as served hot anyway. I suspect it would work a lot better on ice.

Beats a Darjeeling any day in my view. Less bitter and a far more interesting flavour I reckon.

This sounds like a really interesting mix, but it brews up into just another red fruit tea. It has a slightly bitter aftertaste, and I couldn’t detect the mint at all. Drinkable but disappointing.

Just a resteep. I’m never sure of how long I should let the second cup of Earl steep. I kept it going for 8 minutes, and it tasted fine.
