New Tasting Notes

I prepared with a bit more water than usual. I can see how this would make a nice iced tea.

Nummy.

I forgot to bring tea this morning and this is one of the two bags left in my work stash. Sadness.

Ugh, keep forgetting to log.. from yesterday..

Steeped more of the loose leaf and for longer. I’m looking for strong today. This is not the strongest but can be made strong if you want it to be…the aroma is beautiful!

I’ve had all of Kalahari’s regular Rooibos teas so I thought I’d try one of the chocolate red teas. This one is interesting – a bit on the sweet side and you definitely need to squeeze the bag!

Just fired up my genuine Argentine Mate in the office. This stuff is strong!

Not the best Moroccan mint that I’ve had, but still decent.

For some reason this hits the spot this morning! Nice Black Tea. Strong, Bold. NICE.

I like it even more with a little vanilla almond milk.

A thumb size bit of ginger, fennel, black peppercorns, cloves, handful of black loose leaves, brown sugar, 6 cardamon pods, one cinnamon stick, simmer until the stick of one intense stick turns to ash.

Nice and smooth drinking. Boiling water, 5 min steep, milk and sweet’ning. I bought a bunch of assortments on clearance and shared them with a sort of tea sisterhood, including my sister, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. We fancy ourselves having daily tea parties across the miles. And I feel a bit of the same camaraderie with my fellow Steepster-ites. Well then, to tea!

More green tea this morning… another test to study for…

2 infusions…very dark, very strong! LOVE IT!

Drinking this a lot at the moment to reduce caffeine intake to help sleep.

I follow in the teacups of teaequalsbliss in agreeing that this is a nummy, nummy tea! The bergamot blossoms out and rules this cup as the queen of citrus-y perfumes, which she is. I made her milky and sweet, as well. Quite uplifting to my spirits! Yes, nummy as the dickens …..

Our default work tea. Very good to start the day, but maybe a little strong for the afternoon. I think I’m on about my fifth cup so far today, and I think I need to move onto a fruit tea or perhaps a green tea now.
