New Tasting Notes
This tea has a really dense orchid/lilac floral quality at the first steep that’s very vibrant and clear. It progresses into smooth clarified lobster-tinted butter. Very smooth and rich. Then an electric snap of sweetness before gracefully leaving on a honey glissando. Delightful.
Most Herbal Yogi Teas have been grossing me out lately because of the medicine-E taste. This is much better tasting than most. It’s light red in color. It’s fruity but not as bad as one might think…I think it’s because the Ginger, Licorice, and Peppermint cut the taste a bit. Prior to steeping you can smell the ginger but that is nearly lost after the steep.
It’s been a while since I cracked open this tin. I wanted to get my darjeeling sample from adagio out of the way, and then I fell in love all over again with the DFT’s Nepal, and I overlooked this stuff for a while. It’s great as always though, as if I never left it.
