The selection is great and ladies who run it are extremely helpful and knowledgable. If you don’t quite know what you are looking for they will pull tin after tin off of the shelf to help you narrow it down. The tea is wonderful and of a high quality. I usually end up buying more tea and spending more money than I intended because it’s so hard to resist trying just one more variety.

House of Tea is the place to go for tea blends, assamica tea, and warm, dedicated customer service. Shopping here makes me feel pampered. The Sri Lankan family that runs the shop also try to purchase organic and pesticide free wherever possible and they and make all their blends in house. Lots of teawares to choose from too. Most purchases I make I am given a free sample too, which is quite nice.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this place, but the service was stellar and the selection of tea was large, with many unique offerings. They also have a lot of tea wares.

The minimum amount they sell is 100g, which is an awful lot, but I received a couple of very generous samples (probably close to 25g), and I did come away with a 100g bag of Grapefruit Mint Rooibos, which smells intensely amazing.

The proprietor seemed to be extremely knowledgeable about teas, and said they use only natural flavours.

This is a small, slightly frumpy place to buy tea. But the selection is very good, the service is great, and the teas (on the whole) are excellent. With each purchase, the owner will offer you a small free sample of another tea to try.
