76 Tasting Notes
I finally picked up some almond milk this morning so I could try my first Caramel Matcha Latte! Thank you to MissB for sending me this so I could give matcha a try.
I prepared 1/2 tsp of Matcha with 2oz of hot water and whisked it with my aerolatte frother. It worked great! Then I added warm almond milk and a little bit of Just Organic Tea’s sugar. I think this is my new addiction. IT IS SO GOOD. Perfect amount of caramel to matcha flavoring. It goes well with my Star Wars marathon. May the 4th be with you!
This tea was the perfect pick me up I needed this morning. I ventured out and picked up my first CSA box of the summer. The leaves of this tea has an intense grapefruit smell that I love. After steeping it mellows out, I unfortunately don’t get a lot of earl grey out of this but otherwise it’s very tasty.
I’m having the hardest time coming up with words to describe this tea. This is the first unflavored rooibos I’ve had and I’m not going to rate it because I don’t have a lot of rooibos experience, it might not be my thing. It tastes woodsy and a bit nutty. It smells slightly like tobacco to me.
I don’t usually go for herbal teas but I surprisingly enjoyed this one. It definitely tasted a little vegetal and I swear I had a hint of spiciness after taste. It was a very relaxing tea and helped after a very long day. I read that Tulsi is has a minty flavor to is but I didn’t get any of that flavor.
I received my Simple Loose Leaf May box today and the first tea I opened was this one. I opened it up and gave it a whif. It smells lightly sweet and citrusy. I wanted to try it first at just a 3 min steep. It’s not very strong at 3 minutes. I get a little bit of citrus flavor with underlying black tea bitterness. I might have to make more at 5 minutes after I finish this one.
Preparation
This is my first tea I’m drinking of the many that I received from MissB. This tea is heavy on different flavors in the best way. The marshmallow flavor gives it a creamy, vanilla touch. I find the earl grey in this a little lighter than I expected but I still enjoyed it.
This tea is interesting.. I bought it on a whim at an asian market today and I’m glad I’ve tried it. I’m not sure I’ll drink it again. It’s a very savory tea. When it steeps it smells exactly like roasted rice and it tastes like it too. I don’t get a lot of green tea flavors out of it.
