good value everyday drinking puerh… no it isn’t as complex as a cake from the 80s would be and it is a fraction of the price! very refreshing, with real energy and a gentle bite

Real Lapsang – it is absolutely glorious and well well worth the cost… best brewed gongfu rahter than western

Lovely aroma when dry and lots of nice pieces of peal in the tea – when brewed I think it is a little too laid back – drunk hot the tea itself is good but the spice, especially the vanilla, is much less prevalent than the aroma suggests…

As iced tea more a little more spice comes through

In no way a bad drink but the description, packaging and dry aroma promised so much more [oh well that just sounds like the human condition]

Nice idea – lightly smoked and a light citrus tang – unlike other Kusmi teas which smell very nice and don’t always follow through with the taste this tastes exactly like it smells so if you like a gentle lapsangy hint of smoke and a gentle citrus hint this will deliver… I think it is very refreshing and makes for a nice drink when I get in from work and don’t have the time [or right mental attitude] for a more ‘serious’ tea

An oolong that makes for the nicest of green teas! vegetal – almost spinach – but also sweet and most refreshing… another winner from Canton Tea Co.

Initially I brewed this at a bit over 90C and though I liked the the vegetal flavour it seemed a little too astringent, even bitter but reducing the temp to about 85C and reducing the first steep to less than 2 minutes cured any bitterness and just left a taste which is really difficult to describe, well I can’t think of an appropriate analogy or comparable tea… so to me a most unusal tea and I am glad I bought 50g as I think I need more than just a sampler to properly do this justice

A glorious Oolong with marvellous ‘staying power’ – floral and with just the right amount of Oolong toastiness – Had never had a Dan Cong before this and this is one I will be ordering
