726 Tasting Notes
Oh my gosh so I found this in the pantry at my cousins and I’ve never had Thai Chai before sooo I wanted to try it out!
So I did and it was good, but it needed milk. I looked in the fridge and THERE’S NO MILK TO BE FOUND. But… I did find a can of whipped cream… yeah I just put whipped cream in my tea.
Oh gosh. I’d rather have my milk, but I have to say, this isn’t too bad! I’ve never had whipped cream in tea before, and I don’t know anyone who puts whipped cream in their tea so I have no idea if this is totally normal.
BUT ONTO THE TEA.
So I saw it had coconut, and I absolutely DESPISE coconut. But I smelled the tea bags and I didn’t really smell any coconut so I thought I would be safe. Brewing the tea, OH HELLO COCONUT. Drinking the tea (without the whipped cream), the coconut wasn’t as strong as I thought it would be. Then adding the whipped cream, ahhh not too bad :)
Definitely one of the better tea bags I’ve had.
Preparation
Okay I’m drinking this from one of those Keurig coffee maker machine things.
Spending the weekend at my cousins again and the only tea they have are ones for the coffee maker! They just got a package of Tazo Awake and thought I’d try it.
Ehh still not a fan of this… powder. It doesn’t taste like the English Breakfast teas that I’ve had. It’s just… no it’s not okay. This is definitely one of the worst teas I’ve ever had.
Oh dang. I just looked in my cousins pantry and the Earl Grey is gone! Looks like I’m spending a tealess weekend :/
Preparation
Well I’m being productive because I have a bunch of projects and papers to finish before the weekend soooo yeah. My Lupica Jasmin tea bag lasted me a good hour and a half? Resteeped it 4 times and now it tastes like butt becauseeee no more flavour :(
Okay. Time for some Harney because I loooove my Jasmine :)
Funny how they spell Jasmine differently.
Preparation
This is the only Jasmin they have at the Lupica in SF. I haven’t seen like the regular, non-special grade Jasmin teas there?
Well, I always make sure to grab a bag of this whenever I visit the city because it’s definitely one of my favourites! It re-steeps really well also. I think I’m on my third or fourth cup? I like my green teas with a very veeeery light flavour so I guess that’s why..
Preparation
I’m never going to shut up about this, I am always amazed with how clear white teas turn out after steeping. IT’S SO CLEAR LIKE WHAT.
I think after tasting snowbud, I kinda gave up on white teas. They’re just super grassy all the time and… it’s an acquired taste, I know, and I haven’t acquired that taste yet.
I’ll just… keep drinking it until I start to enjoy more grassier teas.
I also realized that white teas don’t re-steep very well. They lose flavour after the second time; it’s quite disappointing.
Preparation
I feel like I associate this tea with ramen because the first time I had this tea, I had ramen earlier that day.
I DON’T EVEN KNOW.
But I actually really like this tea. It’s like.. grassy and all, but it’s unique and I’m kinda warming up to it :)
Preparation
IT’S 6:45 IN THE MORNING. I ACTUALLY HAVE TIME TO DRINK TEA BEFORE CLASS.
Drinking a breakfast tea over BREAKFAST.
Oh this is so exciting.
Preparation
Okay yeah. Definitely not the biggest fan of bagged teas, or the ones in the k-cups.
They’re just much harder to manage because I’m very picky with how I like my tea.
It’s good like every once in a while, but I just can’t wait to go back to my flat so I can have my loose leaf :)
