Steepster select emails - please stop

hey, can you please check your mailing lists for steepster select? I just got another e-mail about it, and I would swear I had signed off (or tried to sign off) from it before.

In fact, even the first e-mails were not welcome, since I am not in the USA and it is totally irrelevant to me. It´s not clear to me why I am still getting e-mails about it but

“You are receiving this email because you signed up at Steepster.com. If you’d like to stop receiving these emails, you can unsubscribe **** from this list. "

but I think it is wrong to assume everybody signed up at steepster it´s going to want to hear about this, and also make the unsubscribe stick!

(I can get rid of these mails myself by making a spam filter, yeah, but that would make my email provider more likely to flag this as spam, so not good for other users on the same provider who want to get these mails. Also not good because it would mean I would not receive news of any further stuff you might want to tell me about in the future. )

It’s part of Steepster general e-mails, I believe. When we signed up for Steepster there was a box about getting occasional e-mails about the site, etc and I presume that is the mailing list they pull from. I think if you contact them in a way other than the forum you’re more likely to get a quick response, the Steepster overlords don’t hang out here a lot as they have other things on the go. :)

If you go to your account settings and uncheck all the boxes (or specifically the bottom box about new site features and special tea offers) that should fix it. If you’ve already done that, try getting hold of them via e-mail or responding to the message they sent. Best of luck!

I just noticed that you want to get other e-mails from them about the site but not the Select ones. I don’t think that is doable as the Select ones are considered also part of the site e-mails.

I do not care about other e-mails, thanks for the tip regarding the account settings, I had never visited that tab! Fixed now, truly very annoying.

I had used the unsubscribe tab on the mails before but it did not seem to “stick”.
