Which new features do you want the most?
First, mobile compatibility. Either an app or just a better mobile friendly page. Unable to make tea reviews on my phone because my smart phone doesn’t allow me to Drag the bars as necessary
Second, better search options. Your search option gives poor results which results in users making duplicates because they did not appear. For instance “Chai & Mighty” from David’s tea does not appear in the search when you type it in as “Chai and Mighty”
Third, It would be nice to have your friends ( or those you follow) notes be on the top. As well it would be nice to search through the notes on a particular tea.
I think there should be some sort of separate place to archive teas that are no longer in existence, such as Butiki. Basically a separate ranking and searching area for defunct products. Also for teaware. It would not only organize what is already there but add new appeal.
I just reviewed Celestial Seasonings’ “Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride,” but the tea’s page says that it is not available yet. Is there a way we could update that?
I think a tea blog and updates similar to Facebook’s would be amazing! I’d love to be able to write out a status letting people know what I’m up to and to share my recommendations and tea finds with others! A recommendations option would be great so I can make recommendations to others and so others can give me recommendations as well!
I’m positive this has already been mentioned, but I’d love a search feature where we could choose from the type of tea (green, black, oolong) and popular flavor notes to generate a list of teas we could possibly like based on our preferences!
I’d like an app version. I tend to record my tea tastings on the spot and never have my computer with me. I wish I could enter on my phone and then follow up on the website.
Second this! Someone has a steepster app that’s just a bad tea timer, hopefully they can find a way around naming.
IMHO, I think stopping spammers should be at the top of the “features” list. :) We are wasting precious tea time trying to wrangle dem spammers!
A piece of code that requires that all new users post once in either a welcome thread or welcome forum before they are able to post anywhere else, or at the very least before they are able to create their own threads (probably done with a user ranking system: Newbie, Regular, Moderator; Newbies are only allowed to post in the New User thread, once this reply is made the system auto-promotes them to Regular where they are given access to all forums).
Makes it easier for moderators to patrol one thread and catch spammers before they even start the attack proper.
