Which new features do you want the most?
yes it would be nice if the dashboard stopped freezing up all of the time…
Other Steepster members also value website reliability:

Oh well. What can you do? It is a free website after all. We can all leave if we get too disgruntled — I guess I’m not there yet :)
Sure. Then again, most websites I use are free websites and all of them currently work except Steepster.
(Also I’m on temporary hiatus until the site starts working better – me and many others.)
There’s 59 pages, so forgive a newbie (first day!) for not reading all of them, but from my experiences today I have a few things I’d like to see.
1) A way to specify what’s actually in my cupboard. How many tea bags or grams/oz of Tea X do I have, how much did I pay for it, where did I get it, when did I get it, was it a gift/self-purchase/etc.
2) Another suggestion for my cupboard – a way to mark “tried, liked”, “tried, didn’t like”, “haven’t tried” or something along those lines – or maybe to tag teas, with things like “buy again”, “gift”
3) When posting a tasting note, the ability to select whether it was a bagged tea or a loose-leaf, and therefore say “I used 2 tea bags” rather than having to guess how many teaspoons or the weight of the bagged tea. I’d hope this would be as easy as adding “bag” to the tsp/g button
I would like a “like” button. And also a way to have a status- just be able to say what’s going on without creating a tasting note. Enjoy a cuppa (blank), reading (blank). That kinda thing. I want to make friends on here and know what they are doing- kinda like Facebook but for teassssss!!!
Don’t know if it’s happening to everyone or just me, but when I try to load my “highest rated” list under ratings, it isn’t sorting my ratings correctly for the past couple of weeks.
I would like to see the Tea/Info/Type for Pu-erh extrapolated as either Sheng or Shou, sometimes the descriptions do not state which.
Can’t seem to “like” a post when on iPad. I almost exclusively use iPad when accessing this site.
Perhaps provide a sorting option on the Discussions board so one might sort for the most recent postings vs. the oldest.
To be honest, to bypass developing an app and paying for it to be on an app store, make a mobile UI.
That way we can make a bookmark, go to it when we want, and it doesn’t cost you almost anything! Besides maybe time, but if you just set the screen width in the CSS to be the mobile site, it shouldn’t take that much coding.
Thanks and have a good day!
