Yezi

I used two teaspoons, 100ml of hot water, and steep for three minutes. However, the flavor is weak. The tea tastes like melon, but lightly sweet. It gets a little bitter for steeping too long. It is a nice summer tea though. Might have to add more leaves.

Thanks to Raritea for letting me have the rest of her sample! I haven’t tried all that many straight white teas, but I wasn’t too impressed with this one – the flavour was very light, a bit on the hay-y side, and that’s about it. It’s possible that my tasting/smelling abilities are still compromised, but I expected a bit more flavour. Ah well, it’s not as if I needed to fall in love with another category of teas anyhow!

1.5 tbsp for 375 ml
Crisp flavour. Bubbly mouth-feel near the finish. Sight creamy tinge.

Re-infused twice at same temperature increasing infusion time by 15 seconds each time.
