I couldn’t leave the spa without having one more tea, and there was only one sachet of this left on the tea cart. I made a cup and split it with my best friend. I am glad I did because this turned out to be one of her favorite flavors.

This white tea just screams COCONUT! It is a rich and creamy coconut, too. I did not taste pineapple very much, and since all we had was the name of the tea we really didn’t know what to look for in it. I thought I tasted almond but I guess that was the vanilla, and when tasted with the coconut gave me that nutty vibe of almond.

The sachets are too expensive at the spa and are not packaged for longevity, plus I think they may not sell very well and therefore get stale. ($17 for I think 12 sachets?)
It would be worth it to order it loose leaf from the company so you know it is fresh and so you can put it in a good tin like it deserves!

It was really great tea and a big hit with my friend, who has been drinking a lot of the coconut green from ZenTeaLife lately.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for this.

Smack yo’ mama good.

I had the pleasure of sampling several White Lion teas during my stay in Vegas. Satchets were provided each morning of three different flavors, and White Ambrosia left a huge impression on me. Absolutely delicious, full of incredible juicy pineapple and sweet toasted coconut flavor. White Lion tea may be expensive, but they’re a perfect example of “you get what you pay for.”

I rarely keep flavored white teas around, but when I do, they’re White Ambrosia. It has just enough flavor and lift from the coconut to be pleasant, no sign of crassness or acidity from the pineapple, and the flavors do not overpower the delicate tea. This is exactly what I need on the very rare occasion that I just need a little blink of energy at 4 or 5 pm.

Sipping some now and raising my score as this is impressive! Excellent coconut flavor and Im not easy to please with coconut. Wonderful natural fruit flavors. Just a well blended tea.
I am falling in love with White Lion teas!

Sil

need to place an order with them one of these days

Azzrian

Truly you do! Lately this company and Steep City have been my two new favorite tea companies.

Terri HarpLady

Yeah, I’ve been lurking on their site…

Sil

Terri – only thing preventing me from ordering is that i have to pick up the phone to do it. I have a friend they’ll ship to in the US but their website, because they don’t ship outside of the US, won’t accept a Canadian address on a credit card lol

Terri HarpLady

So…they’ll let you order over the phone with a credit card, but not online?
I don’t really get the ‘not shipping to Canada’ bit. I mean, we’re on the same continent. It’s not like they’re sending across the high seas!

Sil

heh well i’m shipping to the US, but because the online thing doesn’t accept canadian addresses for billing addresses…i have to call them. Which, is better than “sorry we can’t do anything for you” but it also sadly means i’m less likely to get off my butt and place and order. i HATE phones.

This sounds so good. I love white and coconut. Unfortunately I’m one of those Canadians they won’t ship to. Darn it.

Kittenna

Full Review on http://sororiteasisters.com/ on March 14th but here are the snippits:

White Lion Tea is served in spas and I can absolutely see why! Every blend I have sampled from White Lion Tea has been excellent! They are all in their own way either relaxing, or rejuvenating, and I can see how you could easily find one of their blends to fit your mood and needs perfectly!

You can taste the toasting of the coconut, which sets it apart from many of the other coconut tea blends out there. The pineapple is lighter and a nice afterthought that is not too powerful but present in the sip. It gives the tea a fruity punch toward the end of the sip.

I love the glass jars! Even though you want to keep them out of direct sunlight to preserve the flavor of the teas, they are so kitchy, so cute, and they look amazing displayed!

Ramvling

Wow, that sounds wonderful!

Azzrian

Been really happy with White Lion Teas so far. :)

Meg

Tea with toasted coconut sounds fantastic…. they sound like they have some great teas!

TheTeaFairy

Organic White Silk – White Lion Teas
Dry: Floral balance with distinct fruity-boysenberry elements and a almost candy-like nose
Wet: Fruit juice, sweet, dark fruit- acai
Leaf: Silvery-white buds, dark umber-hued stems, and shards of green leaves. Very much a Bai Mudan style and cut.
Cup: Crisp, golden, resonate yellow hued liquor. Smooth, rich body with slippery, fruity flavor that is white grapefruit and acai and that snakes around the typical Bai Mudan profile, of sweet, grassy and floral notes, hints of vegetal spice and calendula sweetness. Very smooth and refreshing, gently fruity and nicely balanced, with a subtle lingering flavor that glows on the palate. Gently astringent, so that after several cups the mouth is pleasantly cleansed and a light texture has built on the tongue.
Directions: 3.5g of leaves in graduated glass pot, steeped in 185 degree water for 3-4 minutes and decanted into double walled glass mug and aerated before serving.
Notes: I immediately deduced this to be a simple organic Bai Mudan and was deeply surprised when the cup resonated in aroma and flavor, such a predominate voice of fruitiness. If this is a flavored tea and not a natural characteristic, it is not mentioned in any of the information I have, but the flavor is so wonderfully woven, it doesn’t even resemble the typical flavored teas on the market, and instead is a sublime cousin who whispers into the ear of the tea lover and says ‘this too is possible’.

Such a romantic.

Kashyap

it was confirmed that this is indeed a pure organic Bai Mudan and is not flavored….

I think most of the white teas are just too delicate for me! I like the flavor, just not one of my favorites.
