An oolong blend with the name pear in it… I had to get this :)
While the tea doesn’t taste like what it sounds like, it is a nice bold comforting drink. By my evaluations, I would consider this an oolong chai. There is no pear notes, but I didn’t expect them when I saw the product steeping. In one scoop, there was a total of 14 cardamon pods; I’m not kidding. Cardamon and cloves give the spice to the tea, but I’m unable to pick up any vanilla or anything else because of how strong their presence is.
I loved the idea of having a gin and tonic tea. But I didn’t get the “tonic” taste. What I did end up with was a delicious lime flavored mate with hints of mint.

“WHAT THE HELL?”
That is what I said when I opened this tea… this was a free sample so I didn’t know what to expect. Imagine opening up a package of this without knowing: https://www.etsy.com/listing/183102436/kukicha-tea-organic-twig-tea?ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=twig%20tea&ref=sr_gallery_2
Yeah… it is 100% twig.
Interestingly enough, this is quite decent.
Was so looking forward to this…

Did you order this one too? I’m curious as to how others would rate it. The caramel chunks are just huge.
I sent a request for samples of:Vanilla Spiced Pear,Lady Grey, and Gin & Tonic. Hopefully she will sell one a sample of each. I decided I won’t base my view of Urban Earth on this tea alone so I need others for further evaluation.
