Drank it for the very first time today, and I don’t really know why it took me so long. Black tea with a hint of bergamot. No wonder it’s a classic.

It’s a wonderful…I mix it with English breakfast tea to lower the perfume.

Enjoying with a breakfast of hot oatmeal with local honey and cranberries. The Irish Breakfast has a slight spicyness from the assam tea. A splash of milk curbs any bitterness.

Having it in the afternoon, prepared per my usual method of letting the water cool for two minutes in the kettle with the lid off before steeping. Loose leaf. A warm mouth feel with sharp edges, but not too sharp.

A bit more spicy than their English Breakfast, but a good breakfast tea. The loose tea is chopped very, very fine and can sometimes pass through the strainer, so a paper filter is recommended over a mesh strainer. Bring water to a boil, remove from heat, wait two minutes, pour water over tea, steep for 4:30, add a dash of milk and enjoy.

This smelled just like Currants that is for sure! The coloring was really near – a little dark reddish than the package but near a purple type color. I was worried that it was going to be too fruity but it was a nice combo!

drank Darjeeling Tea by Twinings

I’m not one of the more sophisticated tea drinkers but I’m quite pleased with Twinnings’ Darjeeling when I want a black tea with a bit more smooth sophistication than the typical everyday blend or a breakfast tea. I remember thinking when I first tried this it would be a shame to turn it into a commonplace by drinking it too regularly. Goes well with Charles Dickens.

I lied – apparently I do have one more bag of this tea left. :D

Haha, I have about nine left, and I can’t decide if I like this or not.

It’s good with milk IMO, if you haven’t already tried it that way. It’s nothing spectacular but it’s a good, solid tea for those mornings when I don’t feel like messing around with a strainer and loose-leaf tea. :D
