For an inexpensive Earl Grey, this os a good choice. Try brewing it a little strong, sweeten with maple syrup and add cream to it then let it cool and serve over ice. I know it’s different but it’s pleasant.

Ian from Ireland shared this tea with me. It’s nice to connect with people over a cup of tea…this is a decent tea found most anywhere for cheap.

Tea, in general, without milk is something I’ve had to accquire the taste for, and this tea has helped a lot. It smells wonderful and it’s mellow, and has enough body to keep me from missing the milk!

I really, really, like a full-bodied tea. Sometimes, I’ll admit, I oversteep this on purpose. With milk and sugar, strong, not too-sweet, it’s an excellent wake-up tea, great throughout the day as well, but rather too strong for an evening cup.

I don’t know if you are aware of this and what your reasons for drinking tea are, but if you are drinking it for antioxidant purposes I heard of a study done that states that milk destroys all of the antioxidants in a tea.

K.A.

I’m afraid antioxidants aren’t at the top of my list of reasons for drinking tea.

Twinings is my favourite bagged tea, hands down, and I always keep some Earl Grey on hand. It’s a good, solid rendition of this famous tea and it is wonderfully relaxing right before bed (I stick the the decaf version).

Pretty much the only bagged tea I drink anymore are the British ‘builders’ teas and Twinings. I always have a box of the decaf Lady or Earl Grey in my cupboard, and generally have a large mug right before bed. It’s my go-to relaxing tea. Very delicious and soothing.

This is my favorite bagged tea; I bring boxes of it home from the UK at a time! I like its maltiness and body, and enjoy it brewed strong, with a substantial pour of milk and a little bit of Splenda.

I wish it was available here! It is definitely a very good bagged tea, perfect for winter afternoons! Although I prefer it without milk.

I am finally back from vacation!!!

I have a bunch of tea to backlog so here it goes…

backlogged from Tuesday 6/29:

I was pleasantly surprised to find Prince of Wales at my vacation house! Now which is better: my fresh carrot cake and tea on Sunday or tea and a trashy magazine in bed on the first day of vacation?

Had this iced today. Made it hot and then added ice. This is an excellent quick iced tea. No sugar necessary.

I just love this tea! It is simple because it is bagged but very flavorful. It has great tea flavor and its strong without being bitter. Very enjoyable.

Cofftea

Not bitter at all. Quite sweet actually. Very impressed.

Caitlin

Yeah – it is very good bagged black tea.

One of my favorite teas. It is a great black tea that isn’t bitter. It is very smooth and just a nice cup of tea.

Quite a good tea, which I have whenever I go to Bob Evans. It’s a little astringent for my taste, so I tone it down with a little Splenda, which makes it super-yummy for my taste.

Had this at the French restaurant as well. I plucked a spearmint leaf off the garnish on my plate and stuck it in this tea. They seemed to go surprisingly well together, though the bergamot flavor could be stronger.

Bob Evans had the decaf version, and I noticed it after I had made green tea. I made the Earl Grey after 2 cups of green. Gotta love a tea basket! This one is light and lemony. Where’d the lemon come from? It’s just tea and bergamot. Regardless, I like it, because I like lemony things. I probably could’ve left the tea bag in for a little longer, but that’s alright. The whole point of going out to eat was to feel better after a stressful day, and the waiter certainly amused us.
I originally wanted the chicken pot pie, but they didn’t have any readily available. He said it would take about 20 minutes, so I said maybe I’ll have the beef pot roast, and he said “though you would have salad and bread to distract you,” I said I’d take the pot roast anyway. They’re both comfort food to me. So when this bell rang, he came over and said “I just thought you’d like to know that that was the bell for the pot pie.”
Also, my roommate had a lot of diet Coke, and kept needing more refills. She put her empty glass near the corner of the table, and said, “I wonder if putting it here will make him notice that I want a refill.” Within minutes, he brought one out and said, “surprise.”
Needless to say, we had several laughs, and I am a lot more relaxed now. Still worried, but relaxed. And full of tea.
