Delicious green tea with a hint of Cherries – this is the perfect green tea that balances out the “greeny grass” flavour with Cherry blossoms (petals) that you can see right in the loose tea. You can control how strong or weak – I prefer this tea medium strength. Very nice flavor.
Preparation
Finally found this tea, not easy to track down company, but Davison Orchards carried it. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The fruit taste blends very well with the black. This is a strong flavoured full bodied tea that I drank black with a bit of honey. A bit of cream or milk makes it really yummy too if you like some peaches and cream flavor. My sister made it as an iced tea and added fresh lemon piece…. SUPER YUM authentic iced apricot tea that was thirst quenching.
Preparation
There’s not really much to this tea I’m afraid – just a sort of vague fruity flavour. Other than that it just tastes like your standard Ceylon black tea. As much as I like supporting small companies I haven’t been thrilled with any of the teas this company blends so far.
Preparation
Special thanks to Jillian for this one! This is the first tea I have had from this company!!!
HOLY Brambleberries, Batman!
I was afraid because this is chalk-full of fruit, Rosehib, and Hibiscus. BUT…you know what? This isn’t half bad! I’m pleasantly surprised! This is a sugary-fruity-juicy-berry-yet-tropical-mesh of flavors and it works well!
WOW! I can taste those scary ingredients but the strawberry, pineapple, papaya, Raspberries, and Apple are present – and more in the forefront – to counteract the dreaded hibiscus. YAY!
I’m drinking this hot but think it would be delightful iced!
Not too shabby!
As much as I want to like this tea because of its tasty apple flavour, no matter how I steep it there’s Just. Something. Missing. It either needs stronger spices or a more robust black tea base – like a malty Assam or a smokey Keemun.
Preparation
wow…I need a few more cups of tea to wake up. I just read the name of that tea as “Orangutan”….and it took about 4 times to snap out of it. yikes!
snerk The Okanagan Valley is know for it’s fruit orchards and it’s also probably the premier vacation spot in the province.
See? Nothing to do with orange, furry apes living in Borneo. ;P
It would be cooler if it had to do with orange, furry apes living in Borneo though… so many things would.
Hi Jillian, thanks so much for your feedback… we have gone through more testing and development and are finally coming out with a much improved version of the Okanagan Apple Spice. It was tested against the current product and the new one won hands down each time in blind taste tests! I hope you have a chance to try it out soon! We will be releasing it in mid-September. Have a great tea day and hopefully this Halloween, you will be much more satisfied with the OK Apple Spice!
Tatiyanna
I’m typing this up as I wait for the first trick-or-treaters to ring the doorbell and I figured I’d make myself something autumn-y to get in the spirit.
I love the strong, ‘real’ apple flavouring of this tea but the black tea base is just so flat that it takes away from the whole thing. Oh well.
