Tikka House

Tried this as ice tea today. It was wonderful while it was fresh but I wouldn’t use it if I was making a huge batch for the entire day. It developed a somewhat chemical after taste as it sat for a while probably due to the oily nature of Earl Grey blends.
I will definitely ice it again but I think that I will make it by the glass. I plan to do a strong brew in the IngenuiTEA since I found a large tall glass that it fits nicely. I plan to put in the usual amount of tea but only half the water. I’ll fill the glass with ice and when the tea is ready all I have to do is sit it on top. Instant tea my way.
The Tikka House is located in the City Market. On the weekends, the vendors pull their merchandise out in front. I found this tea tucked away on a table full of dozens of spices. It was so reasonable (CHEAP) that I couldn’t say no. At the least, it would make a nice ice tea. Well what a surprise! I had no sooner put the infuser into the mug when the wonderful aroma hit my nose. What a great summer tea. It is more delicate than most Earl Grey almost like Twinings Lady Grey.
