Really didn’t like that one. Pretty bland. Really missed the nuttyness. Maybe my sample was a bit old?

Oh cool, since I added these Austrian teas to Steepster, the tea shop has gone online! Decent photos! Good times!

Now that I’ve finished the oolong, time to hit the jasmine. Again, I’m not a green tea drinker but gosh I’ve been enjoying a mug at bedtime lately. There’s something kinda cleansing about it, especially when I’m full of food! Burger Mondays are intense.

And I did it! I finished an Austrian tea, finally!

Funny, I have never really considered myself a green tea drinker. I just don’t really reach for them or feel like them, but in an effort to sip through my ever-dwindling cupboard I pulled my socks up and got to it.

And really enjoyed it.

So now I’m gonna go drink through another one. (There are four.)

Still drinking this, still enjoying it. I’ve reached the point where I’m not looking forward to finishing it.

Drat.

Tonight for some reason I reached for one of the greens I never reach for but have never been able to bring myself to throw out, considering they were beautiful and thoughtful gifts from a dear friend on the other side of the world.

It was an oolong. I very quickly remembered how much I do genuinely enjoy oolongs. Bloody heck. Maybe I’ll get through this little guy after all!

Backlogged: I used this in a cocktail on Ginuary.com this year and it worked a real treat. Who knew that tea was a solid base for old punch recipes, rather than water? Apparently it adds a nice zing—I have to agree!

I thought I was going crazy trying to find my tasting note—I was SO SURE I had already written one—but then I found it under Sencha Mango, which I used for ANOTHER cocktail back in Ginuary.

I do love how well gin and tea marry. :D

Ok, after another mug of this one (now I’m confident that it’s an oolong) I’m changing my tune a bit—it’s nice but it’s quite weak; I definitely don’t like it as much as the Tung Ting. Which is good, actually! Look at me hbi g opinions about green teas beyond “it’s a green tea”!

The question is, do I bother finishing the small packet of this or do I justvin it? Can I bring myself to bin a tea? Is it the age of the tea that’s affecting the flavour (though this COULD be a yes I think it would be a loose one as this is a mild oolong by description in any case).

I am ON IT this week.

This is supposed to be an easy drinking green, though I can’t pick much of a difference between it and the oolong (it’s similarly rolled leaf) but that’s probably just because I’m a GREEN NOOB/DON’T CARE. ¯\(ツ)/¯
