Tealosophy

Not a Fan TTb. I regretted choosing this one after I smelled the dry leaves. Personally I didn’t like the smell at all. But like a book I figured I’d give it a chance. This is an odd fellow. I taste brandy.

Actually, I’m really glad I had this tea now. My grandma liked to drink tea and brandy. This is to you grandma.

Been drinking this tea a while ago, but got infatuated with it 4 days ago as my morning pick me up feeling almost guilty because it’s such a treat. I’ve been disappointed with the quality of some vanilla flavored tea, but this is the real deal, the smell is heavenly, just the same when you hold a vanilla bean in your hands ready to rip it open if you’re familiar with baking or home made ice cream with the precious pods. The Ceylon gives it a great body to the cup & just as you open a vanilla bean & the perfume starts to linger around you… well thats just exactly how the tea tastes to me, with or without a splash of milk & honey.

Daaaaamnnn this is a smooth beast. I love this tea, it friggin rocks the house. HARD.

When I was down in Buenos Aires I had to check out Tealosophy after a recommendation from a buddy, and man is that place ever awesome. I dropped an easy $100 there in no time at all, and left with a stack of epic tea to last me a while. I bought a few others and a bunch for gifts, but this one remains my favourite by far.

I am partial to the ol flavoured green tea situation, but this combo is particularly awesome. The base Sencha is super high quality, smooth, and none of that crappy tanniny action you get in some green teas. Blended with the smooth base is some really nice tropical fruit vibe, it is really well balanced, tastes like LOVE and I could drink this magic every day (and I pretty much do). It rocks.

Tealosophy, if you start shipping to the USA, I will crush your stock of this stuff. ;)

One thing I’ve learned in my quest for delicious teas is that you have to be really generous with that teaspoon. This EG is one of my faves, although I’m a EG “conservative” the lavender adds a slightly different zesty twist to it.

this is a quite unique tea, it’s a nice EG but with a smokey punch, perfect if you want a pick me up or a nice way to kick start your day. Like the Earl Grey from Tealosophy, the flavor has a nice balance from the strength of the Assam tea & the bergamot when suddenly the smokey flavor brings a nice woody & earthy taste to it. A nice variation for a EG conservative like me :)

This is one of the most flavourful Irish Breakfast varieties I have tried. With a rich black-golden color and a characteristic, yet very soft amber taste, it is a delight for any time of the day. It is only avaiable as lose tea as this company does not carry bagged tea. It is not as astringent as other Irish Breakfast varieties I know. I totally love it :-)

I’m new to this pearls, the first time I steeped too long & it was woody w/ a barely jasmine taste but the second time & used a preheated tea cup & sipped w/ the leaves still in there (I usually remove them) It was absolutely yummy, the balance between the green tea & the jasmine flowers was lovely, no sugar needed although every now & then is nice.

Soy nueva en esto de las perlas pero la segunda vez que las dejé infusionar mucho tiempo & dejé las hebras de té mientras lo tomaba (normalmente las quito) & quedó delicioso, el balance del te verde & las flores de jazmín son perfectas, no ser requiere de azucar aunque de repente se antoja un poco dulce.

I had to steep it a little longer than the usual green tea, just to enhance the berries flavor. It has a nice balance depending if you like it fruity, just steep longer, if you like the green tea to predominate the berry flavor just steep less time. Delicious, there’s something magical about those patagonian berries.

Tuve que dejar reposar mas tiempo que un verde normal, justo para intensificar el sabor de las moras. Tiene un buen balance dependiendo si te gusta mas afrutado, lo dejas repostar más tiempo, si te gusta que predomine el sabor del té verde, acortas el tiempo. Delicioso, hay algo mágico en esas moras patagónicas.

Steep Information:
Amount: 1 tsp
Water: hot but not boiling water
Steep Time: three minutes
Served: Hot or cold, cold tastes better.

Tasting Notes:
Dry Leaf Smell: Tropical, peachy and delicious.
Steeped Tea Smell: Peachy and hibiscus aroma.
Flavor: Tropical, sweet.
Body: Medium
Aftertaste: A bit acid
Liquor: Kind of copper.

We got this tea in Argentina and it´s made by a famous tea blenser calles Ines Berton. It´s faboulous and the smell it´s exactly like the taste, delicious!
