I have received this Nepalese tea as gift from friend.

Importer company don’t exist anymore, they shut down their e-shop month ago. I am always sad to see closed down small companies.

Anyway to the tea…
I opened foil sachet where is tea hidden, unfortunately, you can’t close it again, so I have drink it fast. Mint was annoyingly strong, moreover I saw just mint leaves and none of the black tea. I have tried to mix it somehow… but mint was still more present than leaves of tea plant.

Took two teaspoons for this tea. Steeped for 3 minutes. It was nice light copper colour, clear. The aroma is only minty though. The taste… well, the base almost wasn’t there. But it was smooth and refreshing. There wasn’t much of other flavours than mint. Maybe it was just a bad mix, maybe I need to find more of the tea in the bag. It would be great iced too… that’s certainly good and I should try it!

I don’t know who the “importer company” was, but as of Sept. 2024, Tealaya seems to still have a website running, and a page on Facebook that was active in June. But they don’t list a mint tea anymore. Sounds like not a big deal though.

Actually, if you didn’t pick this up, Jim; I wouldn’t remember I ever had a tea from this company. Also I wonder, who was the friend who gave me this tea to try…

Haha, Martin, sounds like my situation with the Pampa Chamomile. How did I obtain this obscure tea?? I vaguely remember cutting the box panel and putting it all in a zipper baggie… But when? Why? It’s not bad, but the Egyptian Chamomile from Tealyra is far superior, and is intact flowers!
