My friend bought me some tea from New York and this was one of the teas she gave me. I am normally not a big flavored green tea fan (though I love flavored black teas) but the smell of this tea is pretty amazing.

I tried making this tea into ice tea and it was a bit of a fail. It’s definitely better as hot tea since the smell of the fruits, the slight sweetness is good. I think when it’s ice tea, you lose a lot of the great qualities of it.

As for it hot, it’s very light and has a sweet taste to it. Unless you’re into fruity teas, the smell can be overwhelming after awhile…

This review sample had been on the backburner for some time because the vendor (a teashop out of New York) didn’t have a website. I changed my mind when I learned – from the owner – that it was a blend of linden flower, white tea, rose, lemongrass. That and it smelled all citrusy, floral, and…well…awesome. That impression also carried over to the taste. It was blended in such a balanced way that the floral element doesn’t dominate, nor does the lemongrass. You actually get a sense of the white tea base’s melon note on the finish. This was quite expertly crafted.
