I won this at a craft show a few month ago and am just getting to try it now. I think they should have called it something else because it’s not JUST Lemongrass. It’s almost like a Lemongrass Green Tea Chai Combo…oh well
It has a lemon-lime color to it.
The lemongrass, green tea, and spices aroma-wise are all fairly faint.
Taste-wise – the lemongrass is certainly in the fore-front. The spices a nearby 2nd and the green tea is subtle but there.
All the ingredients mesh better than I thought they would. This isn’t too shabby, actually.
I’m going to share it with friends! For starters…Liberteas, Rachel, Meowkattack, and Emilie for starters :)
This is another sample from Azzrian, thank you!
I’ve tried this before but I felt it was a bit thin on flavor. This time I doubled the amount of leaf and added a minute to the steep time. I think that worked for the thin feeling.
The package says this contains ceylon and green tea, but they are so far in the background I can not identify them. I feel like I’m getting a tea after taste though. The spices play a stronger role here, however. I’m getting cardamom, cinnamon and clove as the most prominent. Ginger, nutmeg and pepper seem to follow them. The name implies vanilla but I’ve not found it here really. This leans more towards sweet and that may be the vanilla. I have to say I’m pretty impressed since Tupperware had a hand in this one. That’s just not a company I associate with tea. Thanks again Azzrian.
Preparation
I got this from a website I get points on then can spend them on items. This was one of the only loose teas on the site and I wanted to spend my points so I got it.
I don’t know about this one. Its not really a chai but yet has the chai spices – its unlike any chai I have ever had and I have had a TON of chai. Its very subtle. Much better with some raw sugar in it. Will add some milk or condensed milk next time and I assume it would be great as long as the milk and sugar do not drown out the flavor of the tea itself. See that is my concern because its on the weak side. Next time I will also add more tea to the brew.
Don’t get me wrong, it does have its qualities, no bad aftertaste, nice balance of spices as to not overpower the tea itself, but it just feels like it needs more punch and I do fear if I were to add more tea to the brew it would have a negative effect but we will see … till next time.
Oh and considering it is Tupperware – I’m pretty impressed – did not expect to like it at all.
No offense to Tupperware.
Preparation
Okay, changing things up a bit since pot after pot of Earl Grey has started affecting my taste buds. This is a very fruity blend; at three minutes I’m starting to pick up the cherry in it. Overall, though, it seems to be more of a summer tea that should be served iced.
Preparation
Apparently it’s my day for drinking teas that aren’t listed in Steepster yet. Apologies if I’m creating duplicate entries; I really am trying not to.
I found this at a Tupperware store in a mall. They had several different types of tea (only a few of which I can find on their website, which is driving me a bit batty), and I chose this one. It comes with a rather strange, yellow infuser that apparently fits a particular Tupperware brand pot.
It smells and tastes of apricots, with just a hint of mango. I’m not really picking up any cherry at all, and the white tea base is very strong. It’s loose leaf, but is better suited to putting in Tsacs because it’s rather finely cut. Overall, it’s pretty good, especially considering Tupperware is selling it. Probably not one I’d pick up more of; then again, there’s a lot of this per package, so I doubt I run out anytime soon.
