Interesting tea – I got this in a swap from Mel and I didn’t have any brewing instructions. Since I saw it was a green – I went for a lower temp and time. It’s got a nice green flavor with a smokey back-drop. Not something I’d actively seek out, but I’ll try a few steepings of this batch and finish off the sample.
Preparation
I got this tea to try it out. It was at a local Chinese grocery, and for $2 for 50g, I couldn’t pass up the deal! I have been wanting to try all the teas they got, since it’s a tastings of teas I could afford.
The package says you use boiling water, and can reuse the tea 8-10 times!
Ok, now how it tastes…I am not a fan. First taste made me gag. Second taste confirmed it, and I had to dump it all out. It has an overbearing smoky flavor that didn’t appeal to me. It tasted like rotten spinach. I guess I got what I paid for.
