Old England

Made this into iced tea last night!
I brewed 4 teabags in a 1L teapot, let it cool, added some simple syrup syrup and a couple slices of fresh lemon, stuck it into the fridge overnight. In the morning: wonderful, lemony iced tea! The best part is, it’s not overly sweet like any other iced tea you can buy. I added just enough simple syrup to top it off in the morning, and drank the whole thing throughout the day. Quite nice! I think I may have steeped the tea a bit too long as it was a little too bitter, but will definitely try this again. Very tasty and refreshing!
Third and final tea that I brought back with my from Slovakia; this one is apparently made in England, though I think it is distributed by a German company (hence all the German lettering on the box). I was super excited to “have a legit black tea straight from England,” so I bought it to try it out.
It’s pretty nondescript, to be honest. You’ve got your basic black tea with a tiny bit of bergamont flavouring. At least it’s not too bitter; it’s not exciting either, though. Body is pretty decent, doesn’t taste hollow or anything. I will probably just drink this when I don’t have time/the mood to fill a strainer with my good loose-leaf Earl Grey blends.
