Not bad! This is a very delicate tea but I got four decent steeps out of it at work today (although I’m now hoping no one noticed and thought it was weird that I steeped the same teabag four times). The jasmine flavor is definitely present but not over-the-top. There’s a slight sweetness that I really enjoyed as well. I’m glad that I have another bag of this left!
Flavors: Jasmine
A lovely summery iced tea. The scent is definitely peachy, but in a natural way. (It makes me think of 4th of July and summer picnics.) The taste is a good balance of peach and fresh, high quality black tea. (I don’t really get the ginger notes at all. I shared a glass of this with a fellow tea lover at work, who also failed to detect the ginger.)
If you are a lover of fruity iced teas, this is the perfect blend.
Flavors: Peach
This was another bonus sample in my swap with Kaylee. Although I was impressed by Mighty Leaf’s breakfast blend, I wasn’t a fan of this earl grey. I followed the instructions on the tag and steeped it for 4 minutes and I’m thinking it may have benefited from a shorter steep. The bergamot was very strong and almost perfume-like, completely overwhelming the base. There was also a bit of bitterness to the aftertaste. It smoothed out pretty well with a splash of milk, but this still isn’t something I’d seek out again.
Flavors: Bergamot, Bitter, Perfume

I received a surprise bag of this in a recent swap. Even though it’s a bagged, tea, the leaves are fairly large and unbroken. I tend to prefer Assam to Ceylon, but this one is quite delicious: robust and flavorful with a hint of sweetness and no bitterness or astringency, even after a 4-minute steep. I’m also happy to see that it’s organic. All in all, this is a surprise winner for me; I would totally drink it again. Thanks, Kaylee!

My office is stocked with Mighty Leaf and this one is solidly ok. It’s good for settling my stomach, but doesn’t have a strong ginger taste. I think the licorice is too big of a flavor for this blend
Flavors: Citrus, Ginger, Licorice
Preparation
I’m sipping on this tea this afternoon because I have just been drinking so many black teas lately that I needed a bit of a change. My friend bought me this tea as a congratulations on my new job. She knew I liked tea, so she picked one up for me! So sweet. I am a fan of Mighty Leaf’s White Orchard, so I was pretty excited to try this one, too.
First off, I have no idea how hot my water is at work, so I may have steeped it at water that was too hot. That being said, I wasn’t too impressed by this tea. It did have a pleasant, generic tropical kind of taste that was to be expected. However, it verges on the edge of tasting medicinal to me rather than natural, juicy fruit flavors. It’s nice enough to have at work, so I’ll probably keep it around my desk somewhere.
Edit: As it’s cooling, the flavor becomes more medicinal, eek. I’ll just have to gulp it down while it’s still hot!
Happy New Year, Steepster!
I love New Years, I love the thrill of new years, new goals, and new adventures!
I plan on drinking lots and lots of tea this year. I’m starting with a cup of this, which my significant other has on hand, but is not my favorite. No worries, I have lots of wonderful tea waiting for me in 2017.
Tea of my lunch time. Its colder today, and I really wanted something warm, and something to prop me up for the afternoon of box lifting I’m about to do.
I’m a little sad that Peet’s is doing Mighty Leaf instead of their own blends, but hey- I’ll take tea where I can get it.
I got this more because its familiar to me than because I particularly like it. Its not flawed, I’ve just had much better vanilla blacks before.
Now, onward, to more box arranging!
Ok,despite my lovely boyfriends budding appreciation (and growing collection) of teas, I still think I should probably carry a little bit around with me, of my own teas. Maybe things that need some serious sipping down, or suchlike?
Theres nothing bad or wrong about Mighty Leaf… but they are just not the company for me. They seem to be lacking some pop!
Gosh my boyfriend loves this tea. He’s mad for the mighty leaf teas, and… well, I find them a little underwhelming. Perfectly pleasant, mind you, but not as special or rich as other teas.
That, plus the fact that Mightly Leaf is a pricey tea, even if its available in the grocery store, and for that buck, I want a little more bang.
Still, it served well as a quick breakfast cup.
This is an okay chai, but not my favorite. I prefer to have some cinnamon, and I’m not so sure what I think about the peppermint . Also, the cardamom is a little overpowering because it’s been chopped into tiny pieces rather than added whole. The black tea itself is pretty bland. This time I steeped the tea in a teapot and then added milk. I think next time I’ll probably steep it over the stove in water and milk because it’s a little too weak for milk and honey this way. I may also add some additional black tea like assam — and maybe a cinnamon stick — because I’ve got 4 ounces of this stuff to use. I don’t dislike it. It’s just not very interesting and can be improved with some doctoring.
Mighty Leaf is bad for using natural flavoring, so at least this doesn’t have any of that.
By the way, all the ingredients are organic, but they weren’t all available in the drop down menu, so I added them just as “Black Pepper” and so on.

Cold brewed at a shmancy training session where they plied us with delicious food and drinks. Frickin delicious. The peach note is prominent, sweet, and juicy. This reminds me very strongly of Simple Loose Leaf’s Sweet Peach White Tea, to the point where I wonder if these companies sourced the blend from the same manufacturer. I loved that tea so I am glad to have found something similar.
The way this smells is incredible! Peaches just barely ripe and crisp melons. Sadly the taste falls completely flat. It’s slightly bitter and grassy like a badly-processed bagged green—given this with no context, I would not have guessed it was a white. I get a little bit of artificial melon flavor, but the peach is just not there. This isn’t the worst fruit tea I’ve ever had, but it’s not good.
I think this is a case of an herbal with too much going on. Sadly, it just doesn’t work very well. I taste mint, licorice, lemongrass, and some kind of fruit, but nothing else. It’s called Ginger Twist, but I don’t taste any ginger! I’ll finish this cup, but it’s not a favorite.
I got a pack of samples from Mighty Leaf with a recent order from a different company. I’ve gotten packs like this before, so I was expecting the same flavors, but they’re all new to me! I’m excited to try them all.
This one wouldn’t necessarily be my first choice, because orange teas aren’t my thing, but vanilla and jasmine very much are. Also, I’ve gotten hooked on having at least one cup of black tea in a morning. The orange in this is soft, not bitter at all, and it blends well with the vanilla. The jasmine is a scent more than a flavor here, but there is a little bit of a floral aftertaste, and the overall effect is a taste similar to the way vanilla extract smells. I like it much more than I expected.
I’ve got an assortment box of Mighty Leaf tea bags that’s just been chilling in the corner of my room for a year or so. I pulled a random one during the middle of this week, because I’m still getting over being sick and I wanted something that would be easy, i.e. teabag.
I’m not the biggest fan of chamomile, given the choice of tisanes, I almost always go for the chrysanthemum. Surprisingly, this tea, while faithful to it’s citrus moniker, is sort of sweet. It’s light on the palate and doesn’t taste too medicinal. Good enough for a mid-break pick me up.
