When of my office friends and coworkers is pregnant and one of her consistent pregnancy cravings has been bubble tea, so when we’re both in office I’ll usually order us bubble tea. This time we tried a new place and I ended up getting this very interesting juice based bubble tea – so, no milk. It was a deeply roasty and mineral oolong with green apple juice and green apple popping boba. It was a little weird because there was such a sharp juxtaposition between the very dark and earthy/charred tasting oolong with such a bright and crisp green apple but I kind of liked it because it just made those two tasting notes feel that much more extreme and full of flavour!
