I found a Fukugata teapot today at Daiso for $4 and I couldn’t resist buying it. I never liked this Detox tea but it’s a little late for caffeine so I decided to steep some of this up to anoint the pot. The tea is still yucky but the teapot was fun to use. I noticed it has an infuser basket instead of the traditional sasame (clay filter). I think it’s a little too soon to figure out how this cheap teapot will affect the flavor of my tea. I guess I need to start first with a tea that I actually like. :)
Preparation
This is just one of those tisanes where you hope it must be good for you because you pretty much have to hold your nose when it goes down… I like tulsi and lemon myrtle but the spearmint and rosehips and linden blossoms? eeek. I particularly don’t think I like linden. At any rate, you could make this better by serving it over ice or just believe that it will detoxify something. I can’t say I’m really a fan of the flavor though.
Preparation
I am seriously loving all the tea I recently purchased from the Koni Tea Company. I wish the price was not as expensive but they are definitely quality products. This is a delicious earthy pu-erh with a nice sweetness, the buttercotch really comes through. I can’t attest to it’s weight loss capabilities -if tea really made you thinner I would be a total stick by now. Even so, this is a lovely tea to have with breakfast or after dinner if you aren’t sensitive to the caffeine.
