Trying this from the ATTB. The lime smells old. It isn’t a fresh bright scent, but more like a salted and preserved orange peel smell. The kind you find in Asian grocery stores. The smell lightens once steeped and is joined by an earthy smell reminiscent of a pet store. Things aren’t looking good for this tea! Sipping… okay, it isn’t as horrible as I feared, but it isn’t really good either. The flavors don’t seem balanced. It is like there are lots of high notes and lots of base notes, but nothing in the middle to tie them together and make them flow nicely. It is just kind of meh.

Tea #14 from Another Traveling Tea Box

The pu-erh base makes me feel like I’m drinking dirt decorated with lime wedges. It even has the appropriate drying feel in the back of my throat. There’s also something kind of medicinal in the aftertaste — I can’t quite place it but I think I’m just gonna nope out of this cup.

“Another Traveling Tea Box?!?!”

Muddy, strong pu’erh. Bright, tart lime flavor.

This one gave me an uncomfortable tickle in the back of my throat. To avoid any possible allergic reaction, I dumped most of the cup.
