hmmm….I love this blend. I really enjoy spices in tea and this has just that…cinnamony warmth over a base of fruit, maybe raisin? I am not sure about the bread part of these buns though, if I try really hard I can kind of imagine a slight buttery taste at the end of the sip, but I am not catching the wheat that is supposedly in it. All that is to say, lovely blend, i’m sad it’s a limited edition.
Flavors: Butter, Cinnamon, Raisins
Preparation
This tea is incredibly floral, which I can imagine it’s not for everyone, but it is for me. I quite enjoy this summery flavour of sweet flowers with a slight vegetative earthiness on the back that I imagine comes from the seaweed.
Flavors: Earth, Floral, Sweet
Preparation
unequivocally one of my favourites in the collection, that I end up never actually drinking because then it will get finished and I don’t want to run out… Ironic, I know. Regardless, this is a comforting blend of liquorice and aniseed, with a slight fruity twang to it. Quite nice indeed!
Flavors: Anise, Licorice, Sweet
Preparation
I know I like this tea, but I think I oversweetened it today. It has a very sharp minty flavour probably derived from the “flavourings” more than the peppermint leaves, and a deep chocolatey base. The chocolate overpowers the mint in this cup, but I think that is because of the sweetness.
Flavors: Chocolate, Menthol, Peppermint
Preparation
Slowly running out of this tea, which means I’ll have to order new, because I love it so much. It has a rich chocolate flavour with fruit undertones, which is delightful as is, but the little gold freckles floating on top are the most endearing part to me. It’s so extra, and it’s perfect. Sometimes you just want to feel fancy.
Flavors: Chocolate, Strawberry
Preparation
Very excited about this one. Not sure why I had not drank it in so long, because it’s delightful! It’s definitely got that custard flavour, but it’s complimented really nicely by a fruity note. If I had not know, I would not have picked out that it was rhubarb though.
Flavors: Custard, Red Fruits, Vanilla
Preparation
Not sure what about this tea is supposed to be manly, other than alleged health benefits, but its not very nice to drink at any rate. There is plenty of fruit notes that would be good drinking, but under that all is a weird pasty flavour, almost like wet flour. I think that is the bean peels coming through. I managed to somewhat hide this by sweetening the tea, but it’s just not good. It’s not bad enough to pour the tea out over, but it’s bad enough that I am going to look for someone to give this tea too.
Maybe a man.
Flavors: Peas, Pineapple
Preparation
I have a sweet tooth, and Queen of Cheba is perfect for me. I’m not sure how to describe the flavour, other than a smooth and full cherry. I don’t pick up the banana much on its own, but it certainly lends part of its smoothness to this tea. It’s delightful, and I’m really sad that this was the last spoonful
Flavors: Cherry, Creamy, Red Fruits, Smooth, Sweet
