Feisty morning black kick with a bit of ginger and spice. Vanilla rounds it out nicely.

Got this tea in my February Tea Sparrow box. It’s a lovely tea! The black tea gives the vanilla a very round, full flavour. I don’t sense the ginger so much, but I’m not all that bothered by it, it’s still lovely.

Good Assam black tea with a definite vanilla taste, but I can barely taste the ginger or cinnamon…

Steep Information:
Amount: 6 tsp
Water: 750ml at 212°F
Tool: Breville One-Touch Tea Maker BTM800XL
Steep Time: 5 minutes
Served: Hot

Tasting Notes:
Dry Leaf Smell: lemongrass, sweet, slight tart
Steeped Tea Smell: citrus tange, sweet
Flavor: sweet fruit, mainly pineapple, then lots of citrus, with a slightly spicy finish
Body: Medium
Aftertaste: sweet, fruity, tropical
Liquor: translucent red orange

pineapple and lemongrass are the most prominent flavors, i like it

Liquor: hard to tell in blue cup
not sure where the mint is coming from, but there is a tingly mint

really lovely herbal if you don’t like rooibos
