The unofficial sponsor of the month of October.
One of the first teas I bought for my new place. Birthday/ moving tea. There is a nice sweet fruit scent. The flavour is slightly tart with some berry notes.
Good for Autumn events, and pairs well with berry scones.
Flavors: Berry, Black Currant, Tart
Happy October! My favourite month, and the first full month of Autumn (the best season). This tea smells nicely like currants. The flavour is nicely fruity, with some floral notes. There is more of a green taste, but the currant is still pretty good.
Flavors: Black Currant, Floral, Fruity
My summer tea. There is a nice scent when brewed. The apricot really comes out. Brandy is a little stronger in the dry leaf though. The flavour is sweet and apricot, and reminds a little of pastry. Having another cup while tending to my virtual farm.
Flavors: Apricot, Brandy, Pastries
Audio books (on disc) are rather nice. I can listen to a story while tending my virtual farm. The dry leaf has more of a peach scent, and the brew is mostly vanilla. Very good either way. It smells rather summery. There is a nice vanilla flavour, with notes of peach.
Flavors: Creamy, Peach, Vanilla
So, I’ve decided living in the city isn’t for me. I’m moving to a town called Konohana to take over a farm. One of my new neighbours has a tea house. Decided to make this tea for her. It has a nice berry scent. As I’ve not had elderberry before, I’ve no comparison. There is a cranberry scent/ flavour. The flavour is a little tart, and probably would be good iced.
Flavors: Berry, Cranberry, Tart
Happy Spring! This weekend, I went to a gem and mineral show, and a chocolate festival. Picked up this tea on the way home. More of a summer fruit, but I like blueberries. It has a nice berry scent. The flavour is a mildly sweet blueberry. Simple, but very good.
Will have to try it iced soon.
Flavors: Berries, Blueberry
“15 miles to the Love Shack” Okay, the name does make me think of the song. Got the tea from the local shop because it smelled really good. There is mostly a chocolate scent, and more mild on the cherry. The sprinkles are a nice touch. It has a good creamy chocolate flavour, and there is some fruit. Mostly sweet, and makes me think of dessert.
May or may not have a tin roof.
Flavors: Cherry, Chocolate, Creamy
" The studio was filled with the rich odor of roses, and when the light summer wind stirred amidst the trees of the garden there came through the open door the heavy scent of the lilac, or the more delicate perfume of the pink-flowering thorn."- The Picture of Dorian Gray
Since I finally decided to read the novel, this seemed like a good pairing. There is a nice scent of bergamot and apples, with some sweetness. The flavour is a nice citrus, and caramel notes. It is a good tea for the winter months.
Flavors: Apple, Bergamot, Caramel, Citrus
First tea note of the New Year. Happy 2016. Since it was too snowy to go anywhere, I am home with tea and books. Got this tea from the other local shop. Because there was a sale. Smells nicely like bergamot. There is a mild citrus flavour, and base tea is kinda dark. At least, it does when first brewed. More bergamot flavour comes out as it cools.
Flavors: Bergamot, Citrus
From the English Favourites collection at the local shop. First brewed, I got a floral and citrus scent. It does also have rose petals. The citrus comes out mostly as mild lemon, and there is some orange flavour as well. Mostly tastes bright and sunny.
Flavors: Citrus, Floral, Lemon, Orange
Only a few more days until winter. Looks like it here though. This nice has a very nice malty scent. The flavour is a smooth malt. Simple, but really good.
Having my second cup while listening to Celtic holiday music. And some pecan pie.
Flavors: Malt
From the other local tea shop. I was getting some black teas because Winter is coming. This has such a nice malty scent. There is a nice, sweet flavour. With notes of fruit. Overall, it is a good tea for cold mornings. Or just cloudy afternoons.
Flavors: Fruity, Malt
This is from another local tea shop that I found over the weekend.
Smells like a big juicy apple with some caramel drizzled over it. Some of that aroma comes through in the taste but I wish it were stronger. Not bad at all and perhaps some sugar would bring out more of the sweetness. There is also a slight rooibos taste however no roobios is in it. I could see this being a nice iced tea and will have to give that a try.
