I am usually not a fan of flavored teas with the exception of Earl Grey. However, Earthbound Tea’s Morroccan Mint is an amazing tea. The green tea is balanced nicely with the cooling taste and sensation of the mint. I finished the sample I received through Steepster Select in three days, and am ordering more from Earthbound. This has become my standard evening tea while watching TV or reading a book.
Preparation
I got this in my very first installment of Steepster Select!! I was so excited to try these three amazing teas! I have to say I was very impressed. I’ve been drinking a lot of mint-influenced teas lately, and even though I’ve been a bit overloaded, this was a nice treat. There’s a pleasant mint flavor, but it isn’t overpowering. The gentle green tea flavor is still able to shine through, making for a well-balanced, delightful cup!
Preparation
I expected the mint to be too strong by the smell, but instead the tea tastes of the green and not really any mint….it’s more that the mint leaves that little zing in your mouth as you swallow, rather than being a flavor.
It’s not terrible, just not great.
Preparation
one of my favorite teas by earthbound that we serve at my cafe and customers love it. the quality of the tea leaves are apparent upon blossoming and the aroma is beautiful and strong of jasmine flowers. and it’s true, you can steep for at least a couple cups with one serving!
Preparation
I believe I ordered this sample way back when I was preparing a swap box for one of the swaps we had here on steepster earlier this year. My recipient had another Earthbound tea on her list, and I chose a few samples from Earthbound for myself at the same time. I’m not sure why I chose Moroccan Mint, though, except that I have tried a couple of Earthbound teas in the past and I was quite sure that this was one I hadn’t yet tried.
Anyway… on with the tasting. This has a good balance to it – minty without being too much. The green tea tastes lightly vegetative and there is a nutty/buttery flavor there too. Sweet, crisp, and clean. Very nice Moroccan Mint tea.
Exquisite tea this Silver Needle from Earthbound. Yet, another one from the white tea sampler, and each white gets better than the next. . . although, I must admit that I saved this one for last.
The liquor is also a beautiful color, just the right yellow . . pasty almost, and the aroma so fresh. I feel like these leaves were just plucked the other day. . .
Been sipping on this delight of a pot all day. . . .Indian White tea. . . white tea that’s not from it’s homeland. . but still a MUST TRY.
India has been slowly been hitting the white tea market with these teas. . .some are a hit and miss. . .but Earthbound really seemed to have found a winner. The perfect tea to end the work day with.
Side note. . . the two best Oolongs that i’ve had this year are Earthbound Tea “Moon Crest” and “Green Wink”.
Green Wink i’ve found that you could steep for an entire day and still get the same results, and the Moon Crest is like no other. Both are completely different in taste…Green Wink leaning more towards a vegetal strong Oolong flavor (as of a Green/Oolong) and Moon Crest steeps leaving you with a beautiful sweet scent that is just as sweet on your tongue. For those of you familiar with Dan Cong’s (Feng Huang Dan Cong). . Earthbound sells one of the best Dan Cong’s in the market for an extremely affordable price, I believe they have the best deal out there for Dan Cong’s and once again, this oolong is another one of those that you could steep all week if you wanted to.
Got the White Tea Sampler from Earthbound. . . so i’ve been having lots of Whites lately. Today I started off with White Mu Dan Peony. . .the nutty flavor of this tea is something I could get used to for a morning pot.
White tea in the morning you might ask? YES. This is one of the “stronger” white teas i’ve had. . . . but its so smooth at the same time.
