I was bothered that it’s called “Chai Tea.” I cringed at the name. However, after having an inner ‘moment,’ I grabbed the sampler that this was in. What drove me to bulk buy the whole 64 count sampler was due to having a huge photo of the Mad Hatter on the box. Sure, I went into the purchase blindly, unsure whether the tea would be any good (I’d also gift it to my parents if I wasn’t happy…They drink Lipton. lol. Jk. Tea love is tea love) or not, but that’s the risk we take whenever trying new tea.

The aroma is stronger than the taste. I threw 2 bags in a 16oz mug, however, the tea seems weak. There are very very light notes of cardamom and cinnamon. It’s very watered down. I may try adding a third bag to the next cup to see if that changes anything. Otherwise, it’ll be sent to my parents for further enjoyment. My mom especially likes ‘not too spicy’ chai blends, so this’ll sit well with her.

I’ve definitely been suckered into buying a tea because the container was cute before – you’re not alone! Hopefully you can find a way to redeem this one.

I brewed it again with three bags this afternoon after shoveling snow. That definitely seemed to be the fix.

I remember having strawberry cream hard boiled sweets when I was younger though I cannot remember the brand, anyway this tea reminds me of those sweets. It has a mild strawberry flavour and focusses mostly on the cream element and it certainly is creamy and somewhat sweet. Not quite vanilla like in terms of cream but not far off. That gave it a light consistency and volume which made it easy to drink and perfect for hot days. Though it was mild it was still enjoyable and I shall be sharing the rest of this box with my craft friends at the club tonight.

I just did some searching and found the brand, Campino strawberry and cream sweets.

Im rating the same version as emlbee and funny enough i also got mine at marshalls. The first thing about this tea that strikes me is after steeping i get a very floral aroma, reminding me of my first tea shop ever and what I think was a black tea with not quite roses but maybe more towards a jasmine. It was forever ago so i cant remember, but it is a wonderful scent. As someone who drinks alot of Earl Grey pretty regularly for me the bergamot is there, but not the kick in the pants I am used to. Very smooth but also very drinkable, I like that it brings back a fond memory but i certainly wasnt expecting that.

I’m actually rating the cheaper, paper tea bag version of this tea. It comes in a canister. I don’t know where you’d look for it if you wanted it. I found it at Marshall’s, of all places. I really like this. I like to make a strong, small cup. It’s like a sweet, refreshing slap in the face. Sometimes that’s what I need in the morning. It says its made with “oil of bergamot” but it tastes somehow different from my other natural Earls. Orangeyer or something. And it isn’t like the “natural” flavor of, say Ahmad Earl Grey, which is definitely fake, though I kind of like it. Regardless, it is NOT subtle, so this is for bergamot lovers only.

I received a sample of this from a friend and thought it was about time to try it. Charbrew are a company that I have enjoyed tea from before and so I do have fairly high hopes for this type.

This smells delightfully sweet and reminds me of freshly popped popcorn (which is funnily enough how I found Las Vegas to smell).

Taste is nice and sweet with a fruity and slightly spicy kick. This is a very nice blend, it tastes fresh considering it’s also pre bagged. For me the flavours are perfectly balanced to create a nice combination.

This would be perfect in summer, I may have to buy some and try it out as an iced tea :)

I remember this tea from a while ago (late last year and early this year). It was a nice balanced black tea with the sunflower blossoms adding freshness and also making the flavour a little lighter. This would be nice to drink in the summer when you still want something simple and strong but light and mellow at the same time.

It’s not anything spectacularly different but it’s great if you just want something simple with a slight twist.
