Thanks for the sample, MissB!
Yes, another one from Europe. Haha. We’re so lucky!
I actually really like this tea. It’s fresh baked apple, nice and bright and true. And some cinnamon. And probably some other things too. I’m having it with 1/2 tsp honey to bring out the flavours a bit more, and yum.
Definitely one I’d get more of, especially in the fall! It would be such a good fall tea.
2 tea bags in 16 oz, 4 minutes at 200F.
Preparation
Sipdown (140)!
Thanks MissB!
CHALLENGE: Off the top of your head and without looking anything up, how many varieties of apples can you name? Can anyone beat my ‘high score’ of 15?
Drinking this one right now. I was in the mood for tea and a movie, but I couldn’t find something light hearted enough so I’m just watching Steven Universe, and then probably gonna go to bed. Sooooo tired.
This is surprisingly flavourful; more apple than cinnamon, I’d say – but both are present. It’s really juicy! And, I don’t know why, but I was expecting a little bit more of a cider/tart apple but it’s reminding me of sweeter, red apples like Red Delicious apples or Salish apples. I really liked the Black Currant bagged tea from MissB, but next to that one I think this is my favourite so far.
PS. These were the apple I was able to name:
Salish, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Jonagold, Cripps, Spartan, Macintosh, Granny Smith, Gala, Fuji, Jazz, Braeburn, Honeycrisp, Pink Lady, and Crab Apples…
And, my score’s 17 if you count “Asian Apples” and Grapples- though at Sobey’s we classify Asian Apples as pears and Grapples are a hybrid fruit so I didn’t include either in my total.
I’m sure I only knew so many ’cause I work in a grocery store though.
Mmmmmm – This is really good – nice baked apples with just a hint of cinnamon. I think it’s really well done – some apple teas don’t really taste like apple to me – or they are really tart – this one is sweet and juicy, and definitely apple. I like it.
I’m assuming this is from the great adventure of MissB thank you so much for sharing, but it came in an amazing box of goodies from Sil. Thanks ladies for being such wonderful tea friends.
This is yet another apple cinnamon tea and though the apple in this is fresh, bright, and true-to-the-fruit, I just find that this is a flavor combination I have had a hundred times before. It’s good but nothing is all that unique about this cup. Nonetheless, thank you MissB for the opportunity to try yet another new tea.
Another from MissB! :D
Not sure what’s in the teabag, but I think this is an herbal tea. It tastes like a weak cider – light cinnamon and apple. Pretty much just as the name suggests. Not bad, but maybe would be better with a longer infusion.
Brewed 2 min at 100C. Rating 65.
This smells and tastes like caramel, even though it’s an orange cinnamon spiced tea. Surprisingly delicious, with hints of orange coming through at the end. Creamy, dessert-like. Interestingly, the box suggests having it with a piece of spice cake and a scoop of caramel ice cream.
Flavors: Caramel, Cinnamon, Creamy, Orange, Sweet
