This is one of those teas that I have no idea of how I acquired it, how old it is, or how well it was stored. I do know that it is no longer carried by Boca Java, but really is about it. I’m not really tasting the caramel or apple in this blend. I do taste the rooibos, but it just tastes watery.
No rating for this one, I’m just trying to sip it down.
Preparation
I really want to like this tea, because I love hot apple cider & caramel apples, but so far those flavors are so subtle, I can’t taste them. It seems that every time I give rooibos a shot, I’m always disappointed. I’m going to try steeping this a longer time and try again.
Wanted red tea but without the heaviness of CS’ Madagascar Vanilla with milk, so I’m a double mug of this for my morning tea. The tart cranberry is really helping to wake up my tastebuds! Maybe I’ll make a pitcher of it iced for later….
Preparation
Cranberry trifecta!
Drinking this tea, and eating Wensleydale cheese w/ cranberries, on top of Cranberry Hazelnut Raincoast Crisps
(p.s. Raincoast Crisps are awesome fruity/nutty crackery crispbread things. Good plain , or with cheese, dips, etc. This is the first flavor I’ve tried but I think I’ll be buying them all and taking them to/serving them at parties this holiday season. I got them at a local organic grocery store. (The product comes from Canada so if I can get it in the middle of nowhere NC they probably have pretty wide distribution!) Preparation
I get Raincoast Crisps at Whole Foods… THEY ARE AWESOME! I love them with a soft cheese (like brie) but, they are quite good without cheese too.
Brewed up one bag of Madagascar Vanilla Red plus one teaspoon of Cruising Cranberry in 8 oz boiling water, then decanted over a cup of ice and chilled in the fridge for a few a couple hours. My idea was that the teabag would add some body, depth, and vanilla to the berry-heavy CC, which I think it did. This was a refreshing iced tisane that needed no additives. I would probably make this again as a larger batch.
Preparation
I’ve had this tea an awful lot in the past few months! I made a cup hot today while also brewing some for a pitcher of iced. So I’ll be drinking some more this week!
Preparation
Lovely pink color and kickin’ cranberry flavor!
Preparation
this tea looks just like the picture – if anything there is even more fruit. It is also the largest and darkest rooibos I’ve ever seen – not the red-orange sawdust I’m used to. It really doesn’t taste too rooibossy (I made that word up), but does have more depth to it than just hot cranberry juice.
