So, one of the few things that I knew I wanted to do in Vegas was do a Vegas style buffet and after some research were decided on the buffet at the Bacchanal in Caeser’s Palace. We picked this one for two reasons; they have one of the best reviewed dessert bars, and they’re really well known for having lots of vegetarian/vegan options.
We ate there for literally three hours and by the end I felt like I was 100% going to explode if I ate anything else. It may have been the most gluttonous thing that I have ever done. If this was a food blog I would run down the whole list of things that I ate – but it’s not, though I did post A LOT of food porn over on my Instagram both in story and post form. You can catch some of it here:

I made sure to try everything they had to offer that was tea infused though, so that’s what I’m going to run through really quickly here:
Matcha Cream Cake
So the tea in this was in the icing, which was matcha infused. You could definitely taste the matcha really clearly; however the cake itself was SUPER sweet/rich and after already eating so much other food I simply found it to be too much for myself. However, very moist and great consistency to the icing.
Thai Iced Tea “Boba Float”
This was served at the dessert bar; and it wasn’t something you could dish yourself. You had to specially ask someone to make one for you. However, I couldn’t resist. I feel like I actually might have liked it better without the ice cream (which was just vanilla) but it was also good with. Very sweet tasting, but that is typical for Thai Iced tea so no surprizes there. It had some malt to it, but also this sort of caramelized citrus fruit type of taste, and obvious creaminess from the icecream melting on top. The boba were fine; though did clump together a little creating one “super boba” at the end.
Green Tea Shaved Ice
Another one that required assistance; you had to get the bowl of “shaved ice” shaved for you – but then after that there was a giant topping bar where you could customize the shaved iced all on your own. There were five different “sauces” you could put on top, and green tea was one of them. It appeared to be some sort of cream based green tea syrup just judging on the colouration and it definitely did taste creamy as well – like the green tea Haagen Dazs I’ve had before. I also added passionfruit popping boba to mine as well, which was delicious. This was probably my favourite of the three different tea related things…
Everything sounds so good. Bookmarked for a future Vegas visit!
